I'm going to the game tonight with a special someone (no pics available), and I was wondering if fellow clutchfans can recommend a good restaurant for after the game (hint: it has to be open after the game). Something moderately priced, like $10-15 dollars a dish, casual but fitting for something like a second date (ie: nothing wildly romantic, it's too early and that would be slightly creepy). Preferably near Westheimer or in the south west side of town. I know there have been numerous threads asking the same thing, but I don't have search and google search came back with threads that weren't much help. Anyway thanks in advance
House of Pies? Westheimer between Fountainview and Hillcroft Actually this may be a terrible idea. I'll let those who are better at this stuff comment.
All right, so if you're willing to wait a little Ra might be a fun place to go and have a few drinks and such after the game, but like I said since it's a Saturday night you may have to wait a few minutes. Also, PF Changs and Escalantes both close at 11 on the weekends and are both in Highland Park on Westhiemer. I'm pretty sure it falls between your budget. You can also try Niko Niko's as it's a fun little place off of Montrose I believe. Whatever you decide, I hope you have a good night!
Go somewhere within walking distance of Toyota Center. Don't get in a car. Spending a date driving around stuck in traffic sucks. There's plenty of options between the Pavillions and such now.
can you suggest a specific place within walking distance? Also: how much is the parking Toyota center? when me and my buddy go we park in a close 5 dollar parking, but I don't wanna make her walk/look cheap
House of Pies. I took my current girlfriend there on a "second date" after a Rockets game one night. I officially asked her out a few weeks later and haven't gone back since. We laugh every now and then on how terrible those pies actually taste.
http://www.walkscore.com/get-score.php?street=Toyota+Center,+Houston,+TX&go=Go OR http://www.houstonpavilions.com/dining.php The pavillions are only a handful of blocks away... lots to do... don't get into a car, man... walking in the city lights is THE date experience *edit: oh, you need something open late.. hmm.. well... call and ask... but my dates and I typically go to flying saucer after, only takes a few seconds in a car, food is good... drinks are even better
I second flying saucer, also if you want to drive RA is a cool place to go for something not too romantic.
Sylvia's Enchiladas and Isla Ixtapa are both nice places on the SW part of town. Blue Nile is also pretty good. Its Ethiopian food. These all are around your price point.
tell her you both can get something to eat at your place, then when you get there show her your bed...
