Watch at the :37 mark of the video, is Thomas giving a hand-shake like he took care of things?

Play: Jason Kidd trying to hit David Andersen

What was that all about, Did Anderson did something before that play, I mean that was really unnecessary, Plus isn't that flagrant foul..?

kidd needs to pay for that elbow

That was a dirty, intentional hit. It needs to be pointed out if Cubans going to be a dick and protest. That could have hurt our Aussie friend....it deserves its own thread. I want any updates on this incident to be posted here.

    Suck it Dallas

Official Petition to the NBA against Kidd's play

Official Petition to the NBA against Kidd's play.

well, Cuban is sending an official protest against the officiating in Friday's game.
why the rockets don't do the same especially for the Kidd's Elbow??

They probably did or are currently planning to.

Though I'd rather donate that 10000$ instead, since I never knew there was such a high cost for a simple reviewing of contentious calls from irresponsible referees.

We won't do anything like that (altho I'd like the league to penalize Kidd. Ariza swings at air and gets ejected and suspended. Kidd makes nasty contact and gets a PF????)

The Rockets just get up and shake the dust off of us. Our Rockets are men and the Mavs are sissies and whiners.

Oh come on.....Ariza took a blatent swing at a guys head, Kidd did a body block on a pick.

There is a MASSIVE difference....Kidd's was a wussy move...but not intended to hurt, like FIsher's was last year.

Ariza's was a punk move....where he tried to sucker punch a guy in the head from behind.

    Big difference.

I like how DA stepped up to Kidd and didn't back down. He ain't as soft as we thought he was.

There's a difference between the two plays, but it doesn't lie in the intent. It's obvious that Ariza, Kidd, and Fisher were all looking to inflict pain to some degree. The difference is that Ariza went for the head, which has potential for very serious injury.

In that sense, Ariza's was worse even though he didn't connect. It's the same as shooting a gun at someone...just because you miss doesn't mean you don't go to jail.

However, I would also take into account that Kidd's and especially Fisher's actions appeared to be premeditated while Ariza's were in the heat of the moment.

ALL things considered, I think all 3 are worthy of a 1 game suspension.

All of them are intentional......even Ariza's and they were all in the heat of the moment.

The difference was that Kidd and Fisher did things that others could see, whereas Trevor took a shot at a guys head from behind.

Sorry, there is a major difference between the 3....I am not saying they are alright....but Trevor's was much MUCH worse.

I'm still trying to figure out what the hell Rick Carlisle was complaining about in that play.

This has to be a suspension of at least ONE game. He through his whole body into DA and though he didn't flop like Scola, still should be a suspension.

Also the whole Jason Terry thing cheer leading in games and doing the 'jet' is annoying.. I would have loved to seen the whole Rockets team run on the court and do the JET after the win and run into the locker room like that.

When Dirk plays, am I the only one who ever sees his twelve fouls a game. How he uses his knees to create space on a shot and his foot in the air kicking you away from blocking him? Or his moving screens and shoves on almost every single play? And excessive reach in fouls where he slaps the hell out of whoever is going into the paint?

Maybe it is just me, I live up in Dallas and get to see Houston on a few occasions but having Dallas on up here I see this dirty play consistently in almost every game.

Agree, would think a one game suspension is warranted for sure.

Dallas thinks they are all that. Just play basketball.

Jason Kidd lost a lot of respect from me, as if my respect matter but I am sure that I am not the only one who feels that.
