I like the Chase/Battier and T-Mac/Ariza combos. keeps a scorer/creator out there with Ariza and Battier. Battriza combo has hurt us at times.

t-mac needs to be a little healthier for this to work.

I was no fan of him ever returning but T-Mac was the best Rocket on the floor in the first. Combo with Ariza can be good when they both move....which is no certainty.

I'm not sure man, he looks pretty good out there in limited minutes...he's even playing defense.

Yea his speed is not fast enough for the break, but he is 30 I believe and with all his injuries that should be expected.

What are you talking about? The man is healthy as any player can be? What do you see that's wrong with him? How is he not healthy?

Really? If that is as quick as he is going to get, then the Rockets need to jettison him in a hurry.

He has no explosion, no speed, no ability to run and keep up....

Come on man, everyone can see it....

Let's hope he gets it back as his playing time increases, if it does.

If tracy keeps on putting up a solid effort in his limited minutes, I would not be surprised if the Rockets held on to the contract and let it expire.

Morey really believes in this teams chemistry and the only real expendable players we have are jt , joey and cook and Tmac.

So unless a trade comes about that only involves only those players I dont think we do much of anything in the way of trades during the season.

I think you may be exaggerating that a bit. It's not like he's out for a evening jog.

Whatever moves we can make that will keep Ariza from trying to isolate 10 times a game or dribble....ever...I support.

Tonight he looked good and was active. He didn't look good the previous two nights, however.

McGrady seems like he is really trying to fit in and be a team player. He has been very unselfish and has not really looked for his shot. IMO, T-Mac needs to start looking more for his shot and be a good creator for his teammates. He is a great passer and I have noticed he is very good with the entry passes, especially to Landry.

Honestly it seems to me he is playing within the game and making good decisions.

Speaking of Ariza, he looked annoyed that he wasn't getting his touches at the end of the game and thats how it should be. That guy thinks he's a superstar or something.

Chase is like the iphone, nearly could do everything. I bet he would become the next Larry Bird in 3 Years.

Chase's best combonation is Boss Yao.

Ohhhhh I get it... So he's still hurt because he's not moving quick... Ah my bad. I thought it was maybe because he wasn't in game shape because he hadn't played a game in over 9 months. But OK... you're right, the guy that seemingly looks healthy in practice, deemed healthy by his personal trainer, and now apparently by Rick... is not yet healthy. No explosion you say? Has he even attempted anything yet? No speed you say... how do you get speed when you haven't really played basketball in a long time... take it from me... when I broke my wrist last year and I had to rehab, I didn't keep up with anything and didn't stay in shape. It's pretty freakin' hard to get back to your speed instantly until you actually go out there and play, maybe you should try it sometime. So tell me DaDakota..... why exactly is he not healthy? What part of is body is still lingering? Is it his knee? Do you know this for sure? Damn... I'm not a T-Mac supporter or hater... but this is getting out of hand now... people on this ******* board need to this man a break. As much as this guy has done wrong for this team, he has still made an effort to come back... and watching him play 3 games with 7 minutes a piece.. playing pretty damn good defense while not really looking to score and just get a feel for the game.. he looks pretty normal to me. But Dakota.. it's fine... you have your opinion, I have mine.

What you're asking for is a camel going through the eye of a needle. This board will never bash him. If he does a windmill dunk one game, people will complain howcome he didn't do a 360. If he does a 360, people will complain how come he didn't pass the ball. ;)

I'm not asking that the board start respecting him... but damn... all I'm saying is... if isn't healthy... then show me how he isn't.. provide some ******* proof before talking out of your ass...

I've been known to throw some jabs at Alston. And I'm not sold on this Ariza cat yet. But I can't open or read a thread without hearing your vitriol toward one of the greatest players to ever set foot on a basketball court.

You have made your point so many times. Why not let it rest and see how things play out?

He'll be able to keep up as his minutes gradually increase. No explosion or speed to his standards, yes, but its much more than Battriza can offer. His passing is miles better than Battriza. Hell, even his shot is probably better than those 2. He played better defense today but it was a small sample so I would like to see more of it but I think he is ready for another minute increase.

it's tracy so of course people are going to be over critical on him.

dude hasn't played a game in a minute and just came back from a serious injury and has showed some pretty good things so far given the short amount of time he was on the court.

i think mcgrady and ariza could feed of each other pretty good with both of them on the court at the same time. ariza is not a 2 guard. he is struggling and not comfortable at that position. mcgrady is on the other hand is capable of playing that position.

he has always been a great passer and is moving the ball around fine in this system and is showing that he can be a good fit in this offense. even coming off an injury teams are still double teaming him because they still see him a the threat he is.

I can see this working down the road. Right now, Chase/Battier combo is by far the better one IMO. The combo is better defensively and isn't prone to stupid shots (looking at you Ariza).

McGrady/Ariza could be very potent down the road provided McGrady get his athleticism back and Ariza start making jumpers and play a little more "honest" defense. Right now, I will take any combination of Chase, Shane and Tracy and leave any combo containing Trevor.
