They are protecting their media contacts, the NBA knows without the media they would be hurting.

I believe Clutch might have some experience with stuff like this...

it still bothers me that when celebrities update their social networking accounts it becomes an actual news piece.

like the story itself revolves around the posting of something on the Internet.

the media definitely has their hands tied in the breaking of news department...

    Wow, $7500 for that?

I mean, I agree with the fine (even though it's a bit too much) but I disagree with the rules. Technically, shouldn't "after the game" be when the final buzzer goes? Who cares if they tweet before talking to the media?

    a) Wow what a stupid rule, I can understand the during the actual game but after it when all he posted was he was happy about a win... I prefer that from the young stars that they are happy with team success instead of personal.

    b) Am I the only person who never got into Twitter? The whole concept seems so stupid and pointless, I mean do people really care what others are doing every minute of the day?

I mean, if you have a Twitter acount, you might as well have some understanding of the English language.

Does Reggie Evans have an account? That must be the funniest stuff to read through and/or edit during extra time.

I know what you mean about the trivial "what're you doing now?" aspect of Twitter, but it can be very useful. I have an account just for keeping up with sports and the NBA (guys like stein, Hollinger, Simmons, etc) and it's awesome way to get everything relevant in one place. Also very convienient to get game updates and commentary sent straight to my phone from @dmorey, @clutchfans, and @houstonrockets, when I'm at work during the evenings and can't follow the boxscore.

If you view twitter as a tool rather than the latest social fad, I'm sure you could find all kinds of cool uses for it.
