You sure about "microfracture being microfracture?" The area that was worked on was a non-weight bearing area of the knee where Webber's was on a weight-bearing area.

chris webber had a more extensive microfracture so 6 months were pushing it. i think he rushed back b/c the team was playing so well and he wanted to take them over the top (speaking of the kings)

RICK THE RULER is longer than Rick Adelman. What kind of nickname is one letter longer than your real name?

FYI, RA hasn't always done the right thing. Kmart and Gerald Wallace can attest to that, and he has stated he was against trading Rafer for Lowry at first as well.

Rick may indeed be the ruler of red nation..but as they say god before king and country. DM is the real one calling the shots on this team.

Screw that stupid RA nickname created by a bunch of lazy clutchfans,

RA is the name of the sun god.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ra

Ra (often pronounced as Rah, but more correctly as RĂ©)is the ancient Egyptian sun god. By the fifth dynasty he became a major deity in ancient Egyptian religion, identified primarily with the mid-day sun, with other deities representing other positions of the sun.

Rick the Ruler is a reference to one of the great original hip hop artist.
Just like Rick Adelman is one of the great original coaches.

It's bad enough you guys don't know Rockets history, none of you know Hip Hop History!

Great post. Maybe all the blind Mac fans will finally understand it's not about just not wanting to play him

Was this about Rick Adelman caring so much for T-Mac, given his experiences with Webber, that he wanted to hold him out for his own good until he knew, knew, knew his knee was healthy...

... or, was it, "When we heard about Trevor's suspension, the more I thought about it, with the schedule the way it is, with all these back-to-backs, I just felt we need bodies."

... or just a remarkable coincidence that at the same time Trevor was suspended and the coach reassessed and felt he needed bodies that he thought T-Mac was safe and sound on that knee?

Or was it Adelman's way of showing who's the boss and managing a self-absorbed player

On some level, I think Adelman wanted to bring t-mac in but wanted to make sure he was in control - which is fine by me.

    Some of that for sure.

But clearly the guy is just not ready....if he was as healthy as he said he was, I am sure Adelman would have been playing him.

But watching Tracy try to match NBA speed has been painful....I mean all that rehab, didn't they do any running?

Yes, that is the answer! Rick Adelman was desirous to witness a difference in Tracy McGrady's attitide and demeanor. A catharthis was required at this point to begin phase 2 of McGrady's tenure with the Houston Rockets. Brilliant leadership on the part of Coach Adelman.

I'm sure they did running but coming off those kind of injuries it's a blessing he can even run

Clearly he was doing well enough in practice that Adelman deemed he was ready for prime-time. He looks rusty but he doesn't look completely not ready. Part of it is just getting use to NBA speed after not playing for 10 months and coming of the surgery.

The explosiveness isn't there, and I don't think it will be there for a while - whatever the reason is.

But I don't think he's been terrible either. He's been ok. And really the question isn't how he looks in this game or that game, it's to see the difference from the first game to the 5th game to the 10th game.
