Um yea....but Ariza is doing his absolute best to imitate ball stopping McGrady.

He didn't say that. But if you watched the game you know that is when the momentum shifted regardless of if it was due to McGrady or just coincidence.

BTW, I thought McGrady was just awful last night. Maybe it was just due to lack of floor time with the rest of the team. The whole team seemed out of sync while he was in the game. But no... I'm not laying this loss at the feet of TMac but he was bad.

Great job of it too. Does it better than T-Mac did.

Ok, then what about the game against DET when he was in the game? The Rockets didn't miss a beat and actually played better and with more energy when T-Mac came in the game. But let me guess, since we won, it had nothing to do with T-Mac right?

from the video.. it looks Tracy still has his passing skills in place.

the dude is able to find the right man with ease. .. even at this stage.. he looks like the best perimeter passer on the team..

either Mac is really good.. or Mr.Ariza has been simply horrible..

PS: something tells me Ariza will be our bashing boy once T-Mac is traded.. all signs point to that.. and the difference is.. he is actually bad .. Tracy atleast had a lot of good games for us..

What did anyone see last night that would make them think that?

Those passes were sweet. He would have recorded 3 assists in 3 minutes if they made their easy shots.

His performance was praised against Det. Case closed.

The team looked completely out of sync while he was in the game.

he looked completely out of sync. i thought he did ok. not good at all. not bad either. .and some of his passes were good. better than what i've seen from Ariza..

sometimes .. we need to give credit to the opposition.

and o. i thought Mac was bad in his debut game.

Well he made a lot of good passes to set his team up for open shots - watching him on offense he didn't hurt the team. He didn't travel - brooks did. He didn't miss the point blank shots, landry did.

He lost the ball once, and he missed an open 3 pointer. That's it. And he made some great passes. On D, he only got schooled once by Anthony and on that possession he fouled him to prevent the bucket. After that he pretty much contained anthony when he guarded him.

He looked ok. He looked like a guy coming back after a major surgery and trying to fit in. That's exactly how he looks.

Honestly, I'm more worried about Ariza. He may play good defense, but I wince every time he gets the ball. He always seems out of sync, can't dribble, has bad timing/rhythm with his passes, and makes bad shot decisions. I couldn't help but feel we might have won this game if Ariza had a 2 game suspension.

Maybe that's just the way he looks?? Not evveryone looks happy all the time, nor energetic. If you followed T-Mac when he was a beast in Orlando his body language is the same. His eyes always look sleepy and the way he moves look effortless.

He looka pretty good physically in the last two game. Still a few steps behind the speed of the game, but his innate ability of being able to create and find ppl is still there. On offense I'll take T-Mac over Ariza NOW.

Hold in your horses man, it's just been two games and barely 15 minutes of action.

Talent-wise, there's no debating that Tracy is superior in every aspect. But health is still a concern. He needs time to mesh with this crowd still.

As morey said. The guy has played 16 minutes. Nobody should be judged based on 16 minute stretch.

I wasn't suggesting T-Mac starting over Ariza now, my point was after watching Ariza play the last 20+ games, he just doesn't have IT. If last night's game was tied or we were down by a bucket, I'll rather put the ball in T-Mac's hands than Ariza's.

He definitely did not pass the eyeball test as far as I'm concerned. He looked out of place and out of sync to me.

Basically I thought he looked pretty bad and as I was watching my thoughts were that I hope no other GM's are watching because if they are his Trade Value is Falling.

That pump fake on K-Mart was very nice and then he got hacked by Melo with no call.

He is looking very good and he is only going to get better. Can't wait to see T-Mac when he is back 100% mentally and physically. He is gonna return to his dominant self soon enough.

You seem like the guy who probably plays ONLY in pickup games (if that). Practice is NOTHING like a real game. The speed of a REAL game is much quicker and more intense. Just like Mac said the other night "i felt like i was still running (while shooting FTs)". Anyone whose played in higher level of competition knows exactly what he's talkin about. And after a major knee surgery, it takes time to get right mentally even though there's no pain in the knee...i know from experience.

Mac needs more than 7 1/2 mins per game to get into any type of rhythm. I'm fine with the way they're bringing him along, but in January, I would try to make him part of the rotation off the bench and see what he can do with extended minutes.

Seemed to me like the team was a bit out of sync the whole game. I dont know if you guys saw the officiating last night but all these BS flops that the refs called was ridiculous. How can the Rockets have a chance to win when the refs dont give them a chance?? Every time Landry touched the ball (or didnt have the ball) they called him for a foul. It was beginning to seem like Landry could be on the bench and they were gonna blow the whistle on him..See DM's tweet from last night...

"TOs killed us, many not self inflicted.Tough night for the association. We still need to give ourselves a chance to win when field not level." http://twitter.com/Dmorey

In other words: We got hacked, lost the ball, didnt get the fouls called our way. Stern, get your SH** str8 with your damn refs cuz the integrity of this game is getting worst by the second. But even through all that, we need to play harder and through all the crap these refs pull..

For a guy playing in just his 2nd game (after playing only 8 mins in his first) I thought he looked ok. Not expecting anything spectacular at this point. It would be foolish to expect him to come in and just start averaging 15,5, and 5. He has to take time to get used to the new players on the team. You could see he still has the ability to command the defense's attn and he can still pass. More practice time should help (if only we had a better schedule right now). I believe as he gets more confident on that knee, we will start seeing him be more agressive.

I think officiating was atrocious and one sided. What was being called on one end was not being called on the other. Some of those calls against Landry just seemed like refs that had it out for the guy. Don't know how Carl kept his cool.
