It's just not right to let him play a single minute. He betrayed us!! No chance should be given to him!! I am very disappointed today!
Tmac can absolutely help this team, the key is whether he keeps himself unselfish and team-centered all season. He is going to walk a pretty fine line all season if he doesn't get traded, and for one I hope he does well and helps the rockets achieve success.
For me, it's never been a question of whether or not he'll help this team. It's his contract status that's making things ambiguous. If Morey has judged that for whatever reason re-signing McGrady is not going to happen, then it's time to get the most value out of McGrady. If that's a trade, so be it.
Yeah this is more let the league see T-mac so they can judge if they will trade for him. I really thought the Rockets would be content to sit back and collect the insurance on Mac. Glad the fans showed class and welcomed T-mac back!
hope he will get more minutes in the future game, ariza's field goal % is too inconsistent in my opinion
I know we've discussed this ad nauseum, but if McGrady were willing to accept a role, wouldn't he and the return of Yao to this team fix a lot of our shortcomings? The biggest two issues we seem to have are interior defense and a wing man to handle the ball late in games and score. Yao takes care of the former. As to the latter, if McGrady accepts that he's not the #1 option except late in games, that we need him to handle the ball and create on occasion, and play hard defense, why isn't there a role for him on this team? I guess those are pretty big ifs!! Assuming he'll resign for $5-7 million per for 5 seasons, who else could we get at that price that does what he does?
Absolutely, that is the $5-7 million question! I envision roles for McGrady and Yao as you described as well.
LOL And Clyde called it perfectly when he recognized why he missed those free throws. T-Mac basically gave exactly the same reason in his interview later. Course the Glide obviously knows what he's talking about.
