god he has so much potential this is like vintage tmac/kobe if only he would listened, he had one of the NBA greatest coach to help him. but nope money get the best of people sadly =\
i have to disagree i remember the game that von argued with adleman. you guys take it as a negative i take it as a positive wafer showed passion he was playing well that game and was one of the only rockets doing anything that game but yet adleman pulled him out the game. rick has the worst substitution patterns in the history of the nba. wafer should be applauded for his passion not insulted. Their were many situations last year when von was on a hot streak and adleman would pull him. adleman is the only coach in the history of the nba who has no clue on how to ride the hot hand. Do you guys remember the playoffs last year landry went off for something like 15 and 10 rbs in the 2nd quater vs the lakers then adelman pulls him out and doesnt put him back in the game until the 4th what a great coaching move landry is beasting gasol and bynum but lets do the right thing and go to chuck hayes or scola instead of him all of you adleman lovers need to get real their is a reason why he has zero rings. if your a fan of basketball it is quite obvious that wafer was one of the better players on the rockets. How could you not be a fan of a guy who plays with that kind of emotion and passion. but go ahead adleman lovers keep beleiving hes the greatest coach ever. adleman is so clueless that he continued to go with skip instead of brook. brooks would still be backing up skip if morey didnt trade skip. You guys say von isnt worth 3 million a year let me tell you basketball gurus a secret if you gave von arizas shots he would average more then trevor. But once again keep beleiving the adelman hype the same coach who couldnt find time for gerald wallace and had a ballar like turkoglu barely playing. Adelman did such a great job of holding turkoglu back that people didnt even know he could handle the rock. adelman is a complete douch oh yeah by the way rick great job of holding back the best player on the rockets tmac. great job of exiling are too most prolific perimeter scores von and tmac.
i sort of agree. for his production, cost and heart, an argument here and there with the coach is fine with me. coaches cant expect 15 perfect players, it's their job to manage them.
We could really use him, Wafer brought energy, slashing, and saved us from scoring droughts numerous times. No one on this team is really capable of doing that like he could. He only had one little incident with Rick but that was only cause he wanted to play more. It's not like he was getting arrested or not coming to practices and team meetings. I'd say bring him back someway or another. Maybe we can work out a trade with Memphis for him. (T-Mac for OJ, Wafer, and Gasol?)
It would be great to have him back on the team. Great athleticism, finishing ability, and outside shooting.
On his scoring talent, for sure. I think he is THAT bad with his attitude and coachability. Phil Jackson, Rick Adelman, Greece team, who isnt this guy wearing out his welcome with? lol. Grizzlies can bring back Hubie Brown and Wafer would find a way to get on his bad side.
