He should play, because we need more scoring options. Ariza sucks right now and will be suspended for at least 2 games!
Honestly, I don't see how even a 50% T-mac could be worse than Ariza is right now. Lets face it, with Ariza, the Rockets are trying to fit a square peg into a round hole - trying to make a support guy the go-to perimeter stud. Honestly its not Ariza's fault he's so frustrated, it's a natural reaction when you try to do something you cannot.
Ariza getting suspended for 1 game is minutiae and will in no way affect our handling/stategy inlvolving Tracy's possible showcase/exit of Houston.
Ariza's possibly suspension should have nothing to do with McGrady. I can't believe people are forgetting what happened last time McGrady told us he was "ready" to play, and was gonna come back "stronger." He lasted maybe 2 games before rejecting himself on the room with a reverse "dunk" and then claiming injury again. Let insurance pay him his $23 million and then wave bye bye. Good riddance.
He's been running games since summer time. When do you think he will be ready? To me it sounds like you don't want him ever to play in another NBA game.
It depends on how long he's suspended. One game, no. If the league thinks it deserve multiple games, maybe.
I'm predicating my response on the very logical assumption that Ariza won't be suspended more than 4 games. If he is, than yes, I would argue that McGrady should be put in. Otherwise, no. For those of you who don't seem to realize, we're playing a stretch of 4 games in five nights beginning on Tuesday. To send someone who is coming off of microfracture surgery to play good amount of minutes on a schedule like that is completely idiotic. We have absolutely no interest in re-injuring McGrady, so when we send him in, it needs to be slow, something like a home game where there's a fair amount of days off after it. Make no mistake, this is possibly the worst time to send McGrady in.
no 4 games in 5 nights start next. adelman has said tmac will not play through that stretch. he'll play after that stretch anyways. there's no way tmac is not better than ariza post-microfracture. the only way tmac will not play is if what yahoo says is true. we will see.
Please bring him back into action! After seeing what Trevor reacted to his own turnover and swung at the fading opponent, faith has just forced its way out of me.
I think this is the best time for T-mac to make his return. Chase is good, but not sure if he is ready to start. Moreover, if Chase starts, our firepower from our second unit will be weakened. This is prob the chance T-mac needs.
