I heard this when posted in an older thread, basically the announcer saying, basically, "Rick, let me just ask you something, this Yao Ming, I'm sure four, five years down the road, we'll see he was the biggest bust" etc etc, and Barry answering, "You know, I'm so sick of hearing all this about Yao, that he can't do this, can't do that, listen, I've seen him play" (and he's gonna be great, basically). The announcer emitted a few "uh-hunh"'s, listening along, but cut it off at first opportunity. Classic.

hey.. have any of you guys ever visited www.hoopsworld?? Man, there are so many idiots in that room. They criticize Ming without knowing anything about him.. If not, you should check it out.. it will give you a good laugh...

Some guy was saying that Mings parents are 4 ft tall when his dad is really 6"9 and his mom 6"4 while both playing Olympic basketball...

MR. B, I visit that site daily and I am amazed at the number of Ming bashers over there. The rockets took the best player at the position that they needed the most, simple as that. He may not turn out to be the best in the class, but he is what they need now. In a few more years Shaq will be out doing more Burger King commercials so Mings weight will not be an issue. He does speek some English. And while the talent level he plays against is not top shelf, I would think that it is better than that which Kwame Brown, Tyson Chandler, Eddy Curry, and even Kobe and KG faced. The guy may not turn out to be the savior of the front court, but let's at least get him over here and give him a chance.

Thanks for the prompt reply Rockets#1.. But what strikes me the most about those naysayers is that they would consider Yao a dissapointment if he becomes any less than a Duncan, Shaq, or Olajuwon?? And they constantly blabber about how Shaq is going to dominate Ming.. Like that is a good measuring stick on Yao's skills or his potential.. ..
