Von Wafer, for giving the team much needed offensive energy when the McGrady injury drama threatened to send the season into a tailspin.

The 2004-05 Rockets felt like a team of rentals - Bob Sura, Jon Barry, Mike James, Jim Jackson, David Wesley, etc. - surrounding the core of Yao and McGrady. But still they were great fun to watch.

Really? He wasn't a rental in my book.

    Jim Jackson ftw.

BTW Clyde Drexler was not a rent a rocket. He was here well after we won the title..he retired here so that is not a good answer.

Top two candidates are Ron Artest and Jim Jackson.

I choose Jim Jackson because of his professional behavior and production while here despite the ball stoppers we had on our team....Artest WAS THE BALL stopper while he was here.

How so? I don't consider 3.5 years as a Rocket and retiring as a Rocket to be a rental.

My vote would go to either Sura or Artest.

Hmm. I guess that's also a good point. I was thinking along the lines of the only reason we got him was to go for a 2nd ring "now".
