some guy called the radio station thursday night saying he played for UT in late 80s early 90s and that he was driving up to NY in a with a trailer fully expecting mccoy to win. dude sounded crazy, i wonder what he's thinking now.

knew I should have bet my life savings on Ingram.

20 extra bucks sure would have been nice.

Congrats to Mark Ingram! He seems like a great, humble guy who will really appreciate what happened today and never take it for granted.

I still think Colt McCoy had it in the bag until the Nebraska game. Wouldn't have been close if he had done well. But he should be happy there was 0:01 left on the clock or UT wouldn't be playing Alabama.

Suh took away McCoy's votes, and Ingram took Tebow's.

Like I've mentioned, it's all about the championship.

You would think that the QB with the most wins ever would have 1 Heisman to his name though..

as much as i wanted mccoy to win it because he's had such a great career, i was relieved that he didn't, and even more relieved to see ingram walk away with it. the title game has not been kind to heisman winners, and all this does is put less and less pressure on Texas and more and more pressure on bama.

    QFT.

That would've been a distraction for him and the team.

LOL at everyone claiming "pressure" and "distraction."

A running back has two jobs -- run and run well. A QB is the one affected mentally.

Overall, the Heisman "distraction" won't be an issue for the Alabama team because of what's that guy's name...oh yeah, Nick Saban.

If you any of you really want to compare '05 to '09 or chalk up a Heisman "curse" that is simply nothing beyond silly. Nick Saban is the best coach in all of football.

He is the most powerful coach in sports.

If ANYONE is going to get their team ready, it's Nick Saban. Pressure and nervousness doesn't affect Nick Saban; by now he has figured out how to channel that emotion and energy into on-field success.

I'm not sitting here vouching for Saban or Alabama or even slighting Texas. I'm simply saying those who think this is reminiscent of 2005 or that the pressure is "on" Alabama are fools.

I agree. He proved that last year when his team came out amazingly prepared vs. Utah.

Sounds perfectly plausible to compare a game that didn't matter with the Title Game.

Keep up the arrogance UT fans!

Ingrams heisman won't matter... Ingram and McElroy will be shut down by guys like Acho, Houston and Kindle. Same goes for the other side with McCoy and his WRs.... Texas has more potential on the offensive end though.... Edge goes to Texas.
