I am Chinese and I like Yao.
Hardcore facts straight up, I'm not afraid to admit it.

I once thought that was the only reason why I watched and liked this team./
    I was wrong.

Landry, Scola, Battier, Lowry, Brooks, Budinger, Mutumbo.
    and the Ex. Rocket Artest.

    Props to you all.
Let's maintain this level of aggressiveness and energy.

I have been a rocket's fan since 4th grade (that was the first season after they drafted yao, but yao is not the reason i started watching them it was because i started to like basketball.)

Somehow, the first instance that I showed any interest in the Rockets was the team with Scottie Pippen, old Hakeem, Brent Price, etc... not a good year to start watching them... and the years following was the Francis, Mobley, Cato era... somehow through all their struggles I still stayed with the team. Now, comparing those teams with our current team, they are both opposites of each other. The Francis teams were all about iso's, playing poor defense... the current true TEAM is so much more enjoyable to watch now.

at first i supported rockets merely because of YAO.
but now its more the team, and i believe that if yao left id still be a rocket.

People should remember these pots instead of letting it get drowned out in the sea of "YOF" chants and "Chinese biased" votes.

The entire world was a Michael Jordan-Only Fan in the 90's. Everyone had Chicago Bulls gear. Its okay for them they've retained some of those fans that watches them occasionally on WGN just off the ghost of MJ. During his playing days there wasnt a disclaimer popping up that you had to know their 1980 first round pick to qualify for fanhood.

I still get more upset with local bandwagoners than Yao fans.
