That was his precautionary advice after the fact.

He didn't say "hope you enjoyed it" or "continue to do that as long as you use a condom"

 

Either I'll have to trust Jennings own words on the matter of condom use or he is, in fact, the kind of liar that you keep endeavoring to portray other as.

I daresay you know nothing about communication if you think exchanges occur in some kind of vacuum and aren't heard with pre-determined ears. How do you see that as a value negative remark by Jennings. It's retroactive instruction on how to behave the next time.

It's more of a caution... like "if you weren't careful, you could be in real trouble."

Of course it has the added bonus of telling the youngster that if he does something like that again, he should use a condom. It doesn't mean he's saying, "go out and do whatever you like, it's Ok. Just try and wear a condom."

 

Of course not but the really important thing is what is being heard not just what is being said. Kids are kids. While the most likely danger is a typical STD or HIV/AIDS, one can't rule out other dangers and abuses even more serious.

Whenever I've been responsible for a group of kids, I'm much more concerned for their safety than their sexual freedom.
