because some people believe that when t-mac succeeds at something it was the team's combined effort that did all the heavy lifting while t-mac just stamped his name on it but when the team fails it's all because t-mac just isn't working hard enough to get the 'team' anywhere. There has to be a middle ground but we rarely see it.
...without Tracy and with a one-year rental in Artest. That alone should ensure that Tracy is riding the pine until he is traded.
Will you stop with that. We made to the second round because Mac didn't play. There are two reasons why we made it that far. The insurance policy paid off. If we didn't have tat insurance policy, and we all know who I'm talking about, for all his flaws, the odds of us getting past the first round were slim to none.
Not a chance, Stern will put his hand in the jar and stir it up. Give the next person like CP3 or whoever is next a pass to start. He would never let that happen, remember what happened the other year when Yao was going to start and he was injured. At least I'm sure it was him, either way he'll work his "magic" and make it "right".
Yes. He will. The Tim Donaghy thing let people doubt that nba games are rigged. Last year, tmac was lost his spot to Paul at the last minute. Many people doubt the ASG votes were rigged as well. Stern might need Tmac to start to save the league's image. So far, Tmac is probably unluckiest star player ever. It might be the time for his fate to be changed.
Go to another doctor? Oh wait, he did that and got the same advice. I guess he should have gone to a third doctor in that case. Oh wait, he did that too and got the same advice. I think he ended up visiting five doctors before he finally found one who agreed to give him his surgery. Can you tell me why he said he was completely healthy and ready to go right before he shut it down for the season? Can you tell me why he got his surgery and announced it through SAS when it appeared he might be traded? Thanks in advance.
Give me your honest opinion as a McGrady fan. Do you think he would have returned healthy last season if he had put in the rehab time over the summer of '08 that he did last summer in Chicago? I know none of us are doctors but I'm curious. All I heard was that his MRIs were fine last season and every single doctor he saw (including the famed Suns' medical doctors) except that last one who granted his wish said he was good to go and the knee was structurally sound. Nobody can argue that he came into camp fat last season. Now if he can get microfracture and come back this season lean and mean then why couldn't he stay in shape/rehab in the summer of 2008? Surely, you're willing to admit he is at least partially to blame for all this by not taking his rehab/conditioning seriously coming into last season?
Go here: http://bbs.clutchfans.com/showthread.php?t=177775&highlight=keith+jones and watch the video (it's pretty long though). McGrady deserves blame for what happened last year, but I was suprised to learn that microfracture was an option from the beginning.
Two more reason why valuable reasons why, Inexperience and Match-ups, had it been the jazz or mavericks, it would have been most likey the same outcome, because any team with a big that can play on the perimeter(Dirk,Okur) gives yao trouble. So the matchup with portland was perfect especially since the blazers were the youngest team in the playoffs without any playoff experience, which showed in opening night.
Nice to see fan support for TMac & Please chinese fans stop voting for him please !! allstar should be about players who deserve to be their if he gets to the allstar team with all due respect they should pan votes coming from china !!
some chinese are really voting as if their life would be on the line, but for me the all-star game is about what the fans want to see. and whole china wants to see t-mac
this happened last year, too, and i'm not surprised. the funny question to ask is, if he somehow made it to that starting line up, would he play or give up his spot? just think, mcgrady's first game back could potentially be the all star game (though i doubt that, i wouldn't be surprised if he played against OKC or sooner).
I thought there was a good chance that t-mac's experiences the past year would humble him. You look at the mistakes he's made and the how he has responded in the past year and it's a promising sign. Criticism from last year: He didn't rehab properly This year: He worked his butt off and hired a better trainer. Criticism: He didn't support his teammates or cheer This Year; He's been traveling with the team and cheering them along Criticism: He throws his team under the bus This year: He's been genuinely complemetary of the new style Criticism: He caused a lot of drama with his blog posts and comments last week: He took down controversial clips and said, finally, said all the right things. Maybe, just maybe, the guy has finally grown up into a man. Your bad experiences can expose your flaws, but they can also be the impetus to become better. That's why I want to see him come back. Because I want to see what the man is capable of learning.
