um.....kobe? prime example: nba finals when he took it with 4 guys on him. besides what point are you trying to make? im saying hes willing to pass the ball up to win the game...and fine there was 5 seconds left but he could have tried to do it himself if he really was as much of a egomaniac as some of you think he is.

Agree with the OP, sine were keeping yao, shane, and scola all guys around 30 means were not rebuilding, and we have yet to see this team at full strength. Last year it was this cast with yao= 2nd round, before that it was t-mac with this cast= 22gm streak This is the deepest team we've had since the ming and t-mac era, I want to see them at full strength before breaking it up, because the chances of getting another all-star caliber wing to replace t-mac are low considering our cap situation.
You know, i don't want to call a man a liar, but maybe stretching sounds better. Why would tracy be dissappointed when he passed shane the ball? C'mon, you have to do better than that or at least show a quote or something. As far the brooks, deal, i can tell you he was pushing for brooks last season early because brooks is a more reliable scorer which suites the team better.
yea i really want to see where this team goes when tmac comes back. i personally would like him to stay in houston after this year but i highly doubt management would even consider offering him a small deal regardless of how he plays.
you must be new because your first mistake was mentioning McGrady and Kobe in the same sentence. Second McGrady isn't Kobe. Kobe has that killer instinct. McGrady had it but doesn't have it like that. McGrady is willing to make the pass if it helps the team win. Kobe takes the shot regardless.
So, you are telling me that McGrady was upset that Battier made a game winning shot against the Lakers set up by his assist? Really? If he were so diabolically selfish wouldn't he have just shot it in the first place?
i feel that the coaching staff and of course the team should give T-Mac a chance to show them that he is ready to play and just let him come off the bench for now. at least he can show he is ready and once he starts playing more and more games they can move him back to the starting lineup.
i am new at posting but not at following basketball. i didnt say mcgrady and kobe are in the same league (they obviously aren't), i was simply answering your statement that who in their right mind would shoot while double teamed. More selfish players would, and tmac isnt one of them. i am however confused why you are attacking me when i was making the SAME point you just stated the entire time: that Tmac is willing to pass if it helps the team. I have no idea why you have a problem with i said.

Shout out to everyone for not pointing out me using the word "excepting" in place of "accepting" in my original post.
hmmmmmmmm..........did tracy look or sound disappointed to you? he looked very happy to me. i think you just refuted your point by posting this.
Notice how both McGrady and Battier were laughing and joking around when T-mac said it was a "bad shot". What he meant by bad shot was it wasn't an open shot, but it had to be made.
Obviously mcgrady can't say anything in the media without people taking the littlest things he say's and making it into some thing bigger than it really is.
Dave, you're bigger than this. I didn't see any thing poor or anything bad in what was said after the game. Now we can say this or that, but c'mon man. I also notice how tracy was coming off screens and knocking down jumpers which people said he couldn't do playing off the ball. I cant give you direct quotes, but i made the comments way before rafer was traded and it was straight from the horse's mouth.
If nobody will sign Iverson to any kind of deal whatsoever (that he'll accept at least), what makes people think McGrady will do much better? Iverson's in his 14th year now, McGrady will be in his 14th year.
The class of 96 wants to have a word with you...which includes kobe, camby, nash... Not that it matter though since tmac is only in his 12 yr, not 14 th. AI and tmac weren't even drafted in the same year. And AI is in his 13th yr.
So you don't see anything unprofessional about Tracy tossing the ball to Shane (a hell of a spot up 3 point shooter) with barely enough time for a shot and then after the game telling the media "I didn't think it was a good shot" and "it was one of those miracle shots" when the shot goes in and Shane wins the game? That was straight BS on McGrady's part. I love how you guys say "they were both laughing" like it's all good. Shane might be the most humble guy in the league and he is certainly a professional so of course he isn't going do anything but go along with McGrady. I can promise you he would never throw McGrady the ball in a situation like that and then question his shot selection on television immediately after. The irony of McGrady aka Mr. "I don't go to the rim in crunch time" questioning another player's shot selection is off the charts, btw. This incident is not a huge deal but a piece of a bigger puzzle that more reasonable fans have put together by now. McGrady gives you little glimpses of the type of player/professional he is all the time. Some of us choose to realize it and some of you don't. I guess we won't find out until McGrady returns and doesn't get "his touches" at the end of some close games. I'll bet he isn't happy but even then you guys will make an excuse for him.
i think you are taking what mcgrady said way too literally. they are laughing and having a good time about it, he wasn't questioning battier's shot selection at all. But regardless of how you interpret what he said, you have to admit he was pretty damn happy with the result and not disappointed.
