One night, it’s Trevor Ariza; the next, it’s Aaron Brooks or Carl Landry or Chase Budinger. The Rockets have had four different high scorers in their 21 games. Brooks has led them in points six times, Landry five, Luis Scola four and Ariza three. Down the stretch, they look for the hot hand instead of the big salary.
that is why I was soo excited for this season. I knew this team is much better with Ariza instead of Artest.
this is imo taking it a bit too far. in this league, no stars, no nothing in the end. rarely exceptions. the team is doing extremely well, kudos to the coaching staff and all the players. but real deal? depending on what it means.
Yeah, I saw Richard Justice wrote this and stopped reading. This guy flip flops more than my clothes tumbling int he dryer. He's a joke.
A dream for this year's Rockets is to get to the 2nd round of the playoff. A more realistic version is 8th seed and 1st round exit.
Our team plays with a lot of heart and always has a chance to beat even the best of them. We proved that last night. IMO the real deal tag means the Rockets are serious and not to be messed with. No more slacking on the Rockets.
The only thing "Real Deal" about this Rocket team is that they are a good team.. Not Great and is not a championship team. We have some holes that needs to be fixed if we are able to see ourselves holding up the trophy... Don't get me wrong now, we have been phenomenal with what we have on hand.
Here are the teams we've lost to: Portland (2x) (includes 1 point loss) Dallas (2x) San Antonio LA Lakers (1 pt OT loss) Phoenix (tough 4th quarter collapse) Atlanta (2 point loss) Sacramento Really, the Sacramento game was the only letdown; the rest of the teams are poor matchups and/or much superior in talent We've done a great job of taking care of mediocre NBA teams, and we've beaten good teams at home. There were some road losses that we were real close to winning and I hope that turns around as the season progresses. I am hoping we can hit the 50-win mark which is what it'll take to make the bottom half of the playoff bracket.
LOL ... is this the same Richard Justice that was crapping all over Jerome Solomon on 1560 recently after Solomon wrote a blog complaining about people not acknowledging the talent on this team? I remember people were all over Solomon because Solomon called him out by name on air while he was there. What a joke of a writer this guy is. I had already read halfway through before I stopped to see who the author was -- I was incredulous.
We need all the wins we can get right now. We have a stretch of games coming up at the end of this month into early Jan that will be a REAL test. Maybe McGrady is back by then and playing well to give us a boost.... we just may need that. Im glad we have a team that plays hard for 48 mins, plays as a team, and we have a good coach, GM, and owner watching over everything. Its just a matter of time and getting those right pieces to fall into place before we see a run of us being title contenders.
