It's my understanding that only Americans and Canadians can get NBATV and league pass. Everybody can get access to league pass (all you need is a computer). Not everybody can get NBATV (you need a provider). Don't vote in Rockets games for NBAtv.

The difference, IMO, is that the fans with the broadband package (like me) have paid $180 just to see the Rockets, and if they were taken off to be put on NBA TV, that is way more than a minor annoyance.

I still don't understand why NBATV isn't included in the package. It makes no sense. But yeah, I would like to echo the people asking people not to vote for the Rockets being put on NBA TV.

we are talking about two different services.

the broadband package is $150 for the full season and $99 for the choice subscription (up to 7 teams).

if you are paying $180, you are signed up for the LEAGUE PASS through your cable provider, not broadband through nba.com.

and yes, i agree with your assessment. NBAtv should come with League Pass through your cable provider.

and secondly, the NBA needs to know the opposite effect that broadcasting games on NBAtv does for the fanbase of teams that do not live in their market.

it makes completely zero sense to neglect passionate fans who pay money the right to watch their favorite team.

but on the other hand (and I keep saying this), this makes no sense to vote against watching our favorite team play on television. (I would still rather watch the game on the TV than over my laptop)

LP and LPBB users must continue to give feedback to nba.com and cable providers in order for this to change.

NBAtv FanNight is in its second year of existence and has been a trainwreck for anyone outside of LA or Cleveland.
