Pics 1-3 are VERY interesting. Thanks for the link.

What's pretty cool about these pictures are how everyone seems to be laughing and having a good time.

Mcgrady fas are so deprived of him that even when he misses point blank layups, he looks good to them.

It has become a sorry state of affairs for McGrady and his followers.

From your comments, you must not have played organize sports. Practice and the actual Game is totally different. To me, I was more concern about his movement, cutting, and first step. Those are things he should focus on in practice at this point. He seem to get off the ground pretty good to me, compared to where he was, he hasn't been Toronto and Orlando Tracy in long time.

Kobe is not as fluid as he was when he was 20 and 25 yrs old. Tracy was not getting his shot block and he was getting by people. His strengths are his court vision, rebounding and scoring, and you don't have to jump out the gym for any of those, i.e Magic Johnson.

Wow, I swear to god, the Tmac haters have become the most ignorant posters lately. Heres the first 9 positive responses about Tracy, ALL OF THEM OBJECTIVE:

"T-Mac bringing back the leg sleeve from his prime days ...could be a sign of good news"

"T-Mac looks pretty darn sharp and in great shape, despite his shots ain't that projected to fall, no biggie it's just the practice"

"Mac looks like he's coming along. Still long and tall, gotta give him tha"

"T-Mac looked good out there. He seems to have really stepped up his d"

"I was thinking the same .lol return of the mac.but i doubt it."

"McGrady looked quick as hell but had trouble finishing"

"Yeah mcgrady looked quick off the first step to me too. but couldn't buy a bucket"

"T-mac looked decent but...I want to see what he can do on the move and in space"

"And also T-Mac can't knock down most of his shots around the hoop despite his elevation on his jumpers looks pretty"

Every single one of those accurately describes what is in the video: A McGrady who looks quick with decent elevation but isnt finishing. Then guess what happens, ignorant sheep show up and start bashing posters for no reason whatsoever.

The blatant generalizations by this poster and Howsmydriving earlier are just awful. Worthless posts like these are what kills our forums.

Its gotten so bad, the haters post it like a reflex.

    /end rant

There is a full article from Wang Meng, reporter of Titan Sports that was based in Houston, describing the 1-on-1s of Tracy McGrady against Jermaine Taylor, Chase Budinger, Brian Cook, Carl Landry and Shane Battier.

    http://basketball.titan24.com/2009-12-09/51047.html

    Summary:

    • He had relatively easy time versus the rookies: Jermaine Taylor and Chase Budinger.
    • Jermaine Taylor was much shorter than Tracy McGrady, and lacked of experience in defense; therefore, relying on his footworks, Tracy McGrady managed to find ways to score. But most of his scores were jump shots.
    • Against Chase Budinger, Tracy McGrady also made full advantage of his body weight/strength. But then again his shots were mostly jumpers or hook shots.
    • He had great difficulties playing against the more experienced players of Brian Cooks, Carl Landry and Shane Battier. He lacks explosiveness and speed and could not do anything worthwhile against the 3 of them.
    • An assistant coach of Hosuton Rockets spoke to Wang Meng: You know we did not cheat you guys. He is far from being ready. He had yet to recover his speed and explosiveness. Just look at how he tried to lay-up and you'll know. How many lay-ups did he manage to score after so many one-on-ones???"
    • At the end of the session, when a local reporter from Houston tried to interview Tracy McGrady, he flatly rejected, and said: I have to go to see my doctors again.

mabye it would help if you read the post with more comprehension, and you will see we specified what areas he looked good in and missing a layup wasnt one of them, its his quickness and movement on defense that looked good to me. With missing the layup and jumpshots, Like we all said said he looked rusty but he can work that off. its not an issue.

It's hard to comprehend posts that talk about how quick and good he looks against his own teammates in practice when he simply does not! The same practice that Brian the Iron Chef Cook is beasting.

If THAT is a quick and good Mcgrady then folks have either never seen what a quick and good McGrady was or they are flat out lying OR (most likely) they are completely delusional.

He looked like crap and after watching that video I dare any ROCKETS fan to say with a straight face that he can help this team.

does he look better than he did last year? that what most of these delusional people are basing there delusional opinions on. Not if he's as quick as mcgrady of old becuase if he was he would be playing now. Why is that so hard to comprehend. Not one person in this thread has said throw mcgrady out there becuase after seeing this video he's ready.

Is it really hard to look better than McGrady of last year?? Seriously?

Why are his own fans setting the bar so pathetically low for him?

....on old legs with high mileage. And considering he never really had a reputation of being a hard worker, things are not looking good for him.

No one is going to take pity on McGrady just because he came off a micro fracture surgery. He still has to earn his minutes.

Garbage. Just this reporter's name raises my doubts. I saw in the video how he got by most of them but couldn't finish around the basket. What quickness and explosiveness they're looking for, the Magic days? Yeah right!
