Out of the 30 teams in the Nba, the Rockets are impressively standing at the 11th position out of the 30. So for a team that is missing both of their stars, run by a group of well discipline and hard working players along with the impressive coaching of Rick Adelman and the Houston Rockets coaching staff, this is a great accomplishment for the first quarter of the 09-10 Nba season. This year's Houston Rockets are the true example of teamwork. 11. Houston (12) 11-9 Pace: 96.4 (9), Off: 105.0 (15), Def: 103.7 (15) Scoring 20-plus in five of his last seven games, Carl Landry is looking like a Sixth Man of the Year favorite. He's averaging 30.1 points (up from 20.9) and 11.3 boards per 48 minutes. Only Chris Bosh has higher per-minute averages in both categories. http://www.nba.com/2009/news/powerrankings/12/07/week6/index.html
Well I guess I haven't seen it. I just wanted to share it along with my opinions. If this thread is already posted, just lock it.
Only thing really wrong with that list is the inclusion of the Jazz above not only the Rockets but also Dallas. That is not right in my opinion even with their current bad run.
Wassup HiepHopp. This is probably the first time I've seen you on Clutchfans. But yea, teamwork and hardwork is a beauty to watch.
2010 NBA Playoffs Odds - ESPN - Hollinger http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/playoffodds Rockets have a 77.8% chance of making the playoffs, above SAS, NOH, Portland and Sacramento
I think this may actually be a little high due to the fact the Rockets don't have a lot of upside with Mcgrady and Yao out. Once Mcgrady is guaranteed to come back then I would move them up a few spots
Im not so sure about that northeastfan... They are not going to allow him to come back until he has proven (in practice) he is healthy enough to contribute positively to the team. You have to admit, the one thing this team is missing right now is somebody that can create for others (AB is a scorer). A healthy T-Mac will do that I believe. We would not need him to score 30 points a game for us to have a chance, we just need him to draw the other team's attn to get other guys open. I know some say he will be jacking up 3s all the time and not moving the ball, but I tend to differ with this group we have. Adelman seems to also be approaching things differently this time around with him as well. So we shall see...
