For a team that currently has no big players playing, we're doing better than perfect. We're on a good way, we
just need to slowly develop our players, and also bring back our 2 stars yao and mac. We're on a good way, and we
will soon be high competitors IF we make our moves carefully. GO ROCKETS!!!

I almost wish we don't get the national recognition. Keep pumping up the Kings, let the rest of the league downplay us.

    I agree.

Better to fly under the radar, both for BBS drama and for less distractions on the court.

    Aren't you?

Take Kobe and Gasol away from the Lakers and they will not have a winning record. RA should get COY if we end the season above .500.

houston people are not, but they're just trying to let the rest of the country know. Honestly though, we have much higher expectations now than we did at the beginning of the season.

Because of the national media's expectations for us. Barkley thought we'd be the worst in the league.

I think people are still surprised at us because most of the sports analyst don't actually watch us. They read the rosters, compare "star" power and analyze that. The next day they check the scores and are like wth? The rockets won. Write about it and forget that day and going onto the next game, a simple rinse and repeat. I guess someone finally notice we kept on winning and find themselves surprised at the same thing over and over. ;)

RA as coach of the year would be awesome, but seeing the recent history of the "Coach of the Year" award... 4 out of the last 5 coaches have been fired..

2008-09 Mike Brown Cleveland Cavaliers 66-16 (First in Central Division, lost in Conference Finals) ---STILL COACHING
2007-08 Byron Scott New Orleans Hornets 56-26 (First in Southwest Division, lost in Conference Semifinals)
2006-07 Sam Mitchell Toronto Raptors 47-35 (First in Atlantic Division; lost in First Round)
2005-06 Avery Johnson Dallas Mavericks 60-22 (2nd in Southwest Division, lost in NBA Finals)
    2004-05 Mike D'Antoni Phoenix Suns

Not sure if the award has some sort of "jinx" to it, but i'm just sayin..Maybe it's just a coincidence or maybe GMs realized that these coaches were crap to begin with, with the exception of Avery Johnson. I think he was a pretty good coach. Greg Pop is the only one that's still with the same team and Jerry Sloan has never won an award or a ring..but he's still coaching..somehow.

It's pretty good that the all league and those so called professions forget where is Houston. Playing like an underdog and finally make Charles-Donkey Sir-Barkley shut off his holes.

If we could get the second round playoff ticket without No.11 and No.3, RA is able to get COY.

landry is also getting some pub, "Scoring 20-plus in five of his last seven games, Carl Landry is looking like a Sixth Man of the Year favorite. He's averaging 30.1 points (up from 20.9) and 11.3 boards per 48 minutes. Only Chris Bosh has higher per-minute averages in both categories."- John Schuhmann

Yeah, but I think Morey has helped us create one of the deeper teams in the NBA. We are completely loaded at the Power Forward position, two of the fastest and talented young point guards and two of the best defensive wingmen in the NBA. While our starting center is the smallest in the league, he is also the most underrated defender in his position.

Those 2 wins we got over the Lakers weren't just home stand flukes and they certainly weren't propelled by anything Ron Ron did exactly.
