i keep saying he's great making adjustment from game to game, but sucks at making quick in game decisions...sometimes he's got to overrule players if it's the players making the calls...i know AB was the one who suggested he go one on one in GS after Adelman picked a pick and roll...not sure if he overrules adelman again tonight, but adelman should have said no if that's the case..

Brooks always hogs the ball for the final shots and he frequently makes questionable decisions. Landy should have had the final shot or Brooks should have at least gone for a jumper. 6 foot guy driving the lane with two big men on either side is not a safe bet.

I think Ariza on Roy in the end is the right call, as was Brooks attempt for the game winnder.

Ariza is better at blocking and stealing, Battier is better at rotating and switches, so it doesnt bother me.

Brooks sees a hole and makes a drive, probably would of made the shot without the foul, but we just didnt get the call.

As opposed to Shanes hand in the face that has worked so well in the past?

Sore loss to take but I certainly wouldnt look to blame Ariza.

Ariza's defence was not "great" ok... the only reason someone would body up that close is to force a drive into shotblockers in the middle. BUt we have none, thats why we got burned 3 plays in a roll..

Yeah and Aldridge was limping most of 4th quarter... He might be out soon as well.

I do agree with that.If our young guys get better from these experiences it will help them in the long run. They will have to take lumps on the way.

Exactly. Ariza did everything he could.. he forced him right, he went for the ball when we went behind his back and he made him make a tough shot.

brooks is not good at creating his own jumpshot. he drove in the lane and got a decent look. he just got fouled. tough luck but good game.

I swear half the posters on this forum work for the Rockets PR department. If this was NY or LA or Boston they wouldn't be getting so many breaks from their fans. There is no passion on this forum. It is so obvious that we do not have a go to player. Landry is not a go to player.

Roy is a go to player. T-mac with one leg is a better go to player than anyone on this team. I'd rather have Aldridge taking that last shot than anyone on our team.

Stop making excuses for this sorry overachieving team. Don't take this team to prom. You're bound to get your heart broken.

Roy scored on Ariza like 4 straight times, every time the same way, crossing over ariza to get him moving, after that it's just a mtter of time before roy saw an opening because Trevor didn't regain his position...after 2 or 3 times you have to pull him off or give him some advice..battier usually tries to lead roy to the outside because he know roy likes to go straight to the rim, ariza should have done that instead of letting roy move him.

I understand the part about the players developing but it doesn't have to be in the final seconds of the game. A win is a win.

Tough loss but I thought the team played well. If Ariza played Roy any tighter, he'd have to foul him.

It's painful to lose. But Blazers deserved to win.
Without Landry's hustle, we were gone long time.
Unless it's a double team, can't imagine Battier will do a better job defending Bradon Roy.

    A "perfect" Loss

Before anyone knee-jerks and goes on a rant about this team, there's really nothing to complain about tonight, ESPECIALLY in the clutch.

The way I saw it, the final 6-8 possessions, both offensive and defensive, I saw not one mistake that led to a loss.

On offense, we either scored a basket or got 2 FT (all made except Lowry's 2 misses). I was wary of RA going back to Brooks/Ariza, but it absolutely did NOT have a negative effect on our offense.

On defense, we were just about perfect, forcing a tough, contested shot (usually by Roy). Just a superstar shot maker making superstar shots. That last shot he invented, threw up, and made was sickening.

All in all, a proud effort by a proud group of players playing for a proud organization. A loss is a loss, but if there ever was such a thing as a perfect loss, this is it.

he plays absolutely no defense rick shoulda had battier on roy i just cringe every timr i see ariza come into the game to finish off games even though chase would be playin well its like ariza has to close out all the games and that just shouldnt be the case.we dont owe ariza anything i dont care what he was told by morey and adelman when we signed him its about WINNING not keeping some silly role player happy.

My beef is we only had 3 turnovers through three quarters. We played awesome basketball and factors outise our play determined the outcome of the game. Its just hard to stomach.

Agree that we do not have a true go to player but Landry was a beast tonight and played like a go to player.

To say this board does not have passion is crazy talk though. Everyone on this board should be excited about how we played against the Blazers tonight. There should be no way that our team which is comprised mostly of late first round or second round picks should be able to compete against a team that has loaded itself with lottery picks.
