Indy doesn't have the right-of-first-refusal crap on Croshere that Seattle has with Rashard. Indy might not have the option of re-signing him if he doesn't want to stay.

Austin wants to start and he won't start there with Rose and Davis at the forward spots.

I think some of u are way to eager to get rid of Cato. I think we should at least give him until the all star break. And why the heck is everyone so eager to get austin croshere?

Austin has stated that he wants to start or be part of a championship team. The thought here in Indy is that Dale Davis will start at center next year and Austin will play the 4 with Rik Smits retired. Dale Davis guards the opposing center 90% of the time now anyway. Secondly, it would take much more than Drew and Rogers to pry Croshere from Donnie Walsh. That would be like the Pacers offering McKey and Tabak, for Mobley. I have mentioned Cato before here, which may work. I guess the main thing will come down to what Croshere decides, Walsh has a reputation of paying his own players market value plus.

A side note is that the Pacers, also, have a 4.5 trade exemption.
