Why, just because I have a different opinion than yours.

I watch all the games....with my boys, I watch them get out to a lead, then nut up and get conservative and the other teams come back and win when the game should have been over.

Kubiak doesn't have the SACK to get the team to winning status, you don't take off the gas pedal when you get and early lead....YOU STEP ON IT !

Mostly because your opinions of the Texans make almost no sense. That is why myself and other don't believe you watch the games. If you do, you would know that Schaub is not a middle of the road QB.

So if you're such a "non-fan" why do you watch the Texans games?

I honestly don't believe you watch the games. That, or you're actually a closet fan waiting for them to win something before you support them.

Why watch them? Mostly because Andre Johnson is on my fantasy team.

And I would love to be a fan, but being that I am not in Houston any more, I am just not as interested.

Doesn't mean I don't have an opinion on what I see, it just means I am impartial in my views.

And, if you don't believe me, I am not sure how I am ever going to sleep tonight...please believe me Mr. Donny...please.....LOL....

That response tells me all I think I needed to know about your relationship with football and the Texans. I feel completely safe ignoring your opinion now. Thanks.

Cool, stick with the fans of the team, they will continue to give an opinion more closely to your own.

Me, I will continue to give the impartial view......

Oh, and the "Why watch them" was just a repeat of the question, I watch every one of their games.

    I am a football junkie....

I find that humors considering that your opinion is pretty much a wacked out statistical outlier on an otherwise pretty steady curve.

Yeah, statistcal outlier because I am posting on a HOUSTON Rockets fan site, it would not be so different if the poll were taken of NFL fans around the league.

Look whatever, I know you like the team, that is cool.....

Just don't be shocked that others have an opinion about them that is not the same as everyone elses on an internet board with users from around the world.

And, others in this thread called them chokers too...you know....

Yeah, and because it is a HOUSTON rockets site everyone supports the HOUSTON cougars too, amirite?

Sure I "like" the team. I want them to win, but I call em as I see em with the Texans.

And for what it is worth, anybody else who calls this team a "choker" has a pretty malformed opinion too and is seriously tilting the prism when looking through it.

No offense, but you're really coming across as a total Houston homer in this thread. If you take in all of the national opinions about the Texans, their identity definitely fits the picture of chokers.

Kubiak's lack of in-game leadership, time management skills, and wasted challenges, and his TMac-like "It's on Me" crap post game deserves to get him the pink slip. No more running the table in December when the games don't matter anymore just to get to 7-9 or 8-8.

It's 10-6 AND a playoff berth or bust to keep Kubiak. That's the only way they're not chokers.

    Uhh.. I called them underachievers... and I'm a homer? ... o... k...

What is your criteria for "choking" a game?

I don't see anyone giving the Texans credit for winning when they've done that... talk about one sided.

Last game against the Colts is an easy one. Winning the majority of their December games when they're out of the hunt to get to 7-9 or 8-8 is another.

I'll give the Texans credit for what they did against Bengals. The problem is that they're only good for 1-2 of those type of wins a year, and that's not good enough.

What's your Maginot Line for keeping the status of quo of more Kubiak? 7-9? 8-8? 9-7?

Frankly, I'm sick of that. IF they get that 7th loss and then make a run to pad the win total like they always do, then it'll just be another offseason of everyone talking about their promise and breaking through to the other side. I'm sick of that, too.

Capers had his 4 years. Unless Kubes get to the playoffs, he should say goodbye as well after his 4th year.

You know, they really don't have much of a "personality." Kubiak comes across as Mr. Bland, seems like he is reciting a script. Most of the players seem kind of bland too: Shaub, Johnson, Williams, etc. Ryans and Cushing seem to bring the most fire but D. Ryans doesn't seem quite as "on" as last season. They are in such a negative pattern, they need a "recharge' or maybe an initial charge. They need something. It's a team without a soul, and that is about leadership. Right now they are in "sad sack" mode. Surely nobody still listens to the locker room interviews with Bob Allen on Channel 13 at 10:30. The players have used the same scripts all year.

Solid, if you were up here, you'd be hearing the same thing from the Cowboy players. Oh, they say all the right things but their actions speak volumes about their commitment to playing winning football and it shows on the field like it did again today.

Honestly? I really thought the Texans would win this game and I have no idea WTF or HTF they managed to screw away this game. In many ways, what Kubiak has managed to do is turn them into a cheap knockoff of the Denver teams who could put up prolific numbers that ultimately had little to no impact on their won-loss record. This game will be the final nail in Kubiak's coffin as I cannot see any way that McNair can bring him back next year and still retain any semblance of credibility.

Hillboy, so you live in the MetroPlex. Well I am a TCU grad, so I went to school in the area. The Cowboys obviously have more talent than the Texans, but in a similar way they seem stuck in under performance mode. I am with you, I think Kubiak is a goner, but Wade Phillips may be too if the Boys don't make the playoffs.

Or if they are one and done in the playoffs.

Good thing Cowher would never want to work for Jerry Jones. At least, I don't think he would.

The Oilers/Titans define every criticism you had of the Texans. They're the ULTIMATE chokers...maybe in all of pro sports.

The Texans haven't been to a Super Bowl yet...of course, neither had the Oilers by year 8.
