He thinks he is going to play. He doesn't know for sure if he's going to play. So basically we have no news.
I assume this is only his guess, so no real validity I suppose. One day you read on here that Mac is good as gone. The next day you read he may play in a few days. I'm pulling that this is true, so we can see how his game looks. And we can be done with this, will he or won't he speculation.
I read Feign write that he thinks that Tmac will play sometime this month, it was in the comments section for one of his articles
Feign as said this all along that he believes mcgrady will play as a houston rocket this season. and that he will play sometime in December. But that is only his guess.

This is evidenced from a guy who got 7 stitches to close his bleeding eye, yet elected to play and 'compete' in the next game knowing his team needed him. Interestingly, the great ones do the same! Kobe, James, KJ would almost have to be on crutches for them to miss a game. They are winners and they come to compete night in Night out, they earn their pay each night! Adelman finally has a team that comes to play every night, even though they may not have the most talent on the floor each night. With all that has progressed with TMAC since Adelman took over, he has concluded that TMAC will not buy into this 'team' concept and style and has made his decision to move on without him based on that. Coach RA will rather have a guy going after it each time he laces up, practice or game, no prima donnas allowed! TMAC thought the Rockets really kept him off the court because of Insurance Money on his contract, but I think the coach made up his mind when TMAC went to press that he was having a season ending surgery without even telling his coach, that was the beginning of the end. More importantly, the rockets actually have competed, and moved the ball better without TMAC as evidenced in the play-offs. This current cast without their 2 all stars were supposed to be the worst in the league (right Sir Charles???), but they have proven that all NBA players and teams can play, but more importantly will win alot of balls if they bring it every night on every possession. Being the highest paid play on the floor each night means you bring it 115%, you come to play and lead my example, not play when you feel like!!! This team has proven they can compete hence making a case that TMAC is no longer needed. With him, the rockets were not going win a championship any way!!!, but without him so far, they are not a lottery team either. Invariably, the rockets have no plan to play him except he plays really hard in practice and shows that he buys into the team concept, rather than trying to showcase himself to get a new contract for next season. The rockets are in not hurry to trade him either! if he does not play this season, rockets get I think $12 break on his contract, plus the insurance pay out. The trade would have to be a no brainer for the rockets otherwise their is not incentive to trade him. Rockets place themselves in a great sitution for next season! Their young players would have really come into their elements as we are seeing in the cases of landry, CBUD and Brooks, we can sign them to long term deals for cheap cause they were early/late second picks with the exception of brooks. This makes it interesting to a lebron, Dwade, Bosh, amare to consider Houston and I think we have a chance to get a legit all star with Yao back will the salary cap we would have. The days ahead look bright for this franchise, but sadly i think the TMAC era ended with the Microfracture surgery. Just my 2 cents!
