I hate what they are doing to T-mac. When New York and Indiana decided that Marbury and Tinsley, respectively, were going to be traded or let go, they told them about that and they let the public know.

It's not fair that they keep making up all these excuses. If you don't want the guy on your team anymore, just say it and put everybody's mind at ease. That's what New York and Indiana did and it didn't hurt. Over, done with. No more drama. Jeez.

As far as the Rockets players wanting him gone, wasn't he playing around with Chuck Hayes shooting left handed 3's? Also, he was pretty supporting of them during the last few games. He got excited on Trevor's dunk and was joking it up with Brooks after the Clippers game I think. Is that all just fake and rehearsed to make it seem as if there's no problem? I think not.

i think this is where it's completely blown out of proportion. i don't thin the players have any problems with mcgrady (at least they put on a front really well and must receive oscars for their acting).

the shootaround clip posted him having a lot of fun with chuck, who is one of the captains. he always seems to have a good relationship with landry. he chatted up with AB quite a few times on the bench this year.

i think the main problem is between tmac and the upper management/adelman.

When will this discussion end. Tracy feels good and wants to play, but the medical staff, Morey and Adelman don't think he is fit enough to start playing NBA level Basketball.

Our team is not good enough to carry injured players like we were able to last season.

I said during the pre-season, he will probably play at the start of 2010.

What we need to do is stop dancing around the issue , come out and have Tracy, Morey and Adelman speak at a Press Conference. Make it clear so all this bull**** stop.

If the Rockets are indeed shopping T-Mac and getting nothing offers. Why would they do what you suggest and lose even more leverage in trade discussions?

I don't understand one thing about T-Mac insurance. The Rockets receive 200.000+ $ for every game T-Mac doesn't play, but if T-Mac is really ready to play, why the insurance company is so dumb to let the Rockets do as they want and don't check really how this situation is going?

I would lmao if Adelman just came out and said we aren't playing TMac because we are making insurance money by benching him.

    on the whole ordeal

    Pete Newmann, ESPN:
He's practicing....not playing.....Houston is resistant to playing him, disrupting chemistry, then dealing him....make no mistake....they want to deal him...

on what houston is looking for in a trade:

    Pete Newmann, ESPN:
yes they will...another expiring contract, a productive player and maybe a pick.

isn't that an interesting question ?

Not one of us knows the actual-factual of the insurance. Not. One. Of. Us.

Oh, and if info out of Rox office is so tightly controlled then howcum suddenly 'everyone', meaning all these writers, knows just what DM the GM's thinking is? Are these thoughts shared by other GMs? How much of his hand would DM the GM show his counterparts?

This McG situation is essential to how the future of the Rox goes.

Probably because the insurance company isn't taking Tracy's personal diagnosis seriously.

I'm fine with it. If the organization has decided to trade McGrady, it makes sense for them not to play him just for the sake of a few wins, when they think it's better to invest that playing time on the players they want around. More than anything else, this season is about player development IMO.

As for the conflict between the organization and McGrady last season, it could be their reason for wanting to trade him. But maybe they simply don't think he'd be worth the price for keeping him around after this contract, or they believe/know he's not going to re-sign with the Rockets.

Whatevr the reason, I just don't see Morey refusing to allow McGrady play just out of spite, especially if it could hurt his trade value.

Whatever the situation is, its 100% speculation. I just have to SMH at you guys who value your own opinion above others. Everyone's post count went up +10 during this no-sense.

Really disappointed in the way the Rockets organization is handling this. They should give some sort of a definite answer/timetable, something.

They traded for him, Ron had no choice, if the team knew Tmac was really that injured they would have kept Donte Greene and this year's first round pick instead of going for Ron.

Sorry, just not true, Ron never signed here, and no it was not vital at all.

They knew microfracture was an option but they also knew that there were other options to fixing the knee, primarily strengthening the quad to support it......and 4 other doctors NOT associated with the Rockets confirmed this.....Tracy was the one who opted NOT to have microfracture and go the less invasive route, they tried it, it didn't work......it happens.

The only way a superstar would want to come here was the opportunity to win, but most importantly....the $$$$$$$

Welcome to the boards, your post was well reasoned, just not accurate.

this is gonna play out the same way ron artest fo peja did a few years back.

Every team in the league knows we want to get rid of him. That means that it is going to take that much longer to get the deal done. ever gm in the league feels like the are operating from a position of strength when talking to darrell about a t-mac deal.

Because of that they are offering crap and basically saying take it or leave it.

When the dead line is alot closer other GMs will feel there leverage slipping away because if they dont get the deal done they cant get the expiring contract.

We on the other hand we will get 23 mil worth of cap space even if we just let go of his rights and let him go.

After saying all that bottom line is t-mac is going to be stuck with us till at least Feb.
