well that's really good news, if you look at t-mac's situation, maybe he still hurt, maybe the team is trying to take it slow on him and making sure he doesn't get hurt when he get's back, you gotta look at it from the organization prospective, I think the media just made big deal out of it, I think they are avoiding any setback injury to t-mac and they are doing the same thing with yao too.. maybe just a maybe
Well this statement sounds like an old record! Is this just the first statement of a long list of lies to be slowly fed to the fans, to a point where Adelman comes out close to the start of next season and tells us that Yao is not ready to play and after Yao sits on the bench for a month then tells ud that he just doesn't fit? I hope this is not the case but I would like to ask Morey to please make a statement ther Yao Ming will definately be playing for the Houston Rockets next season. If the Rockets do bring back McGrady and show signs of a playpoff run I would not be surprises to see Yao expecting to play with them. It might make things very clear if he does.
I would be pretty pissed if we made the playoffs with like 6th or 7th seed and both a healthy McGrady and Yao sat out.
There is one more perspective to this though. If Yao plays for this season, he would have no excuse to skip the world championship game scheduled for summer 2010. I would rather have him rest well and prepare for the beginning of next season.
I think if Yao is healthy, and says he's ready, we should bring him back for a championship run. He's not like McGrady, he has no ego, and won't pout or have "heated discussions" with RA. And they didn't spell DM's name right! I believe the genius mastermind general manager for the Houston Rockets is Daryl Morey.
If the doctors clear him to play, then let him play. Gather opinions from various docs and if they all agree that he's healed then they have to let him play.
Why do they need it? Even if we will win a run for the playoffs, we will be in 8 spot = Lakers. Another first round loss, without any chances to go through. So why we need to risk Yao's health and integrate him into new team through last regular season games? Do you want another injury? Do you forget last season and his Olympics situation? Yao needs rest, Yao needs continuation of his career. There is no need to panic and no need to activate him. Come on, be a little bit smarter. If Yao'll get another serious injury in March|April, his career probably will be over. Do you want it? He is cornerstone, we need to save him without any risks.
Great news. There is good reason to hope that the Rockets will have a chance to really do something next season if Yao is kept healthy.
wouldnt Yao disrupt the motion offense/ball movement? anyway. some good news . it would be nice if the man can return and dominate in the playoffs! lets hope for a matchup with the blazers
I agree. Sorry I feel like I wasted your time, because I was being sarcastic with that statement. I believe Yao should be FULLY HEALED before he returns, and I think he should remain a Rocket after next year.
Ummm, Yao is not coming back this season or postseason and his return date next season is far from certain. It sounds like good news that he is doing good but does anybody know what the doctors said about how Yao was supposed to heal since we're hearing this "faster than expected" bs?
Yao will never be traded. Yao brings in all the profit for Les. If he trades him he is giving away A LOT of money.
would you let him play if we made the finals? quite frankly i would, just for him to have a chance to get a ring. we can all dream cant we?
