[Yahoo] Rockets don't want McGrady back, continue to try to trade him

See this is why I hate yahoo sports. They put out whatever they want, even if what they are saying is stupid. It's as if they just wait for a deadline, then rush to print a story. I can't trust anything yahoo says.

Of course to us true fans they're not lol, but to the espn/tnt watchers we are (boring)...they have no reason to watch a rockets game...you wont see a "Kobe bryant and the lakers square off with Tracy Mcgrady and the rockets" hence no natl tv games...the perception of our team is boring. no star (whether yall think hes washed up or not) = no intrest...we need him for exposure....and dont say winning will get attention because.....were not....period. The nba fan doesnt care about hussle...they wanna see talent. Houston doesnt have a proven franchise player on the court at the moment...period.

Good Job Art, I kept reading this thread waiting for someone to throw out the money angle that every game the Rockets play wait and see with Tracey by not playing him MAKES them $250,000. That is NOT an insignificant amount. I also agree that they are keeping all options open, that's why you don't play him until you are very sure it's in your best interests (not his, we don't owe him that at this point).

I think even if the Rockets wanted to bring Tracey in on their plans for him, that they can no longer trust him to keep a lid on things because of his past actions and comments. So they are left with this awkward waiting game to see if he can really add something to the team, and while they are waiting, they save a million dollars just for deciding NOT to play him on this four game road trip. Of course they have been shopping him, but why take a bad deal just to get rid of him? That makes no sense, they can be rid of him at the end of the year...and it doesn't cost them anything while they are waiting.

My guess is that if they cannot move him in a reasonable deal and they are out of the playoff hunt, they will play him some late season games to give him a chance to get another contract somewhere. That's about what we can expect at this point. Hopefully, the team stays healthy and keeps winning and we won't see him at all unless he can really bring it. How many of us believe he can do that this season???

LOL yah okay . the rox organization is known to do this kind of ****, ****d over hakeem and then barkley, now this whole tmac situation. in 2007 when tmac had a injured knee n he gave it all against the jazz n we took them to 6 games, no one remembers that ? Tmac played his heart out for this team .
