When I want to check out scores and that games' stats from last night be it Football, Baseball or ( above those two) a rockets game I go to espn. Besides Espn theres other great websites for boxscores, gamestats and news such as Sports illustrated, fox sports, cbs sports yahoo sports and etc. One problem though is Yahoo sports, they've made some bogus claims or have stretched the truth. One example was T-mac and Adleman's heated shouting match which was later determined fiction. So in conclusion how accurate is this article: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...F?slug=aw-tradebuzz120309&prov=yhoo&type=lgns I mean yeah its definitely plausible for Tracy to be traded but last year Les denied this, this year its' more plausible but when McGrady related drama is true its very easy to notice... so is this Yahoo sports strecthing the truth? , I've heard no other source ( Local news, the chron, and no indication from T-mac wanting a trade) even the one close to the Rockets mentioning Rick and Morey never ever wanting to play him or despise him. Please no bashing this is just my opinion and me wondering does anyone concur?
I agree that all of this noise is just gossip and speculation until a deal actually happens. Remember the Dream almost got traded to the Clippers in 1991 for Danny Manning. Until a trade happens, all this talk is meaningless.
Remeber last year when David Aldridge reported that Yao wanted T-mac traded and that was total BS. T-mac latter called out Aldridge on his poor facts.
they did have an "exchange." heated or not, feigen didn't dispute it. he claimed some players "heard" the conversation in a locked office room, while others didn't. and he wasn't there to see it. the tmac's era is over. let's move on.
Of course just because Adelman or Tmac deny things yahoo reported doesn't necessarily make them false. It doesn't make them true either, but there is smoke coming from more than Yahoo, including clutch's source regarding the TMac situation this year. http://twitter.com/clutchfans/status/5991854307
Adelman and McGrady denied arguing but did you think either guy would admit that? Of course they would not. Yahoo has been hella accurate lately.
Or remember last year when NBA.com/Yahoo said that Yao was having issues with T-mac? That wasnt true at all, they've displayed a good relationship atleast in my memory
Where there is smoke there is usually fire. If Yahoo Sports reported RA and TMac were in a heated discussion then they herd it from someone that was either in the locker room or was in contact with someone in the locker room when the conversation took place. It was confirmed that a conversation did take place but was it really as confrontational as was reported? Who knows. As Dave, said did you really think TMac or RA would come out and say there was no shouting? Even if there was? I'm not saying Yahoo is right or that RA and TMac are covering anything up. But what I do know is that something happened out of the ordinary to go along with the TMac personal blog posts where he set his own personal come back dates only to have Rockets management disagree. We know for a fact that there is some serious disconnect between what TMac wants and thinks he is capable of as compared to what the Coaches and GM wants or think he is capable of. There is definitely something to the Yahoo story but we may never how much if any was an exaggeration.
Specifically, how have they been accurate? I've seen a few posters make this claim but I didn't connect the dots on anything they've said that have been clearly substantiated afterwards ... I'm not being confrontational about this, just wondering what exactly they've called accurately?
It is funny how all these sources say things that don't fall in line with what the people involved are saying to the media. I think Bullard said it best on the radio the other day, Morey, Adelman and the rest of the Rockets organization are sick of talking about McGrady, but not because of anything he is doing but because they keep getting asked the same questions twice a week.
Yahoo seems to go after some unique stuff so maybe you should listen. The whole Reggie Bush scandal, that was Yahoo.
Yahoo is a public traded company since the late 90s. Yahoo has reported many things, but I do notice if it deals with Tracy, that their legitimacy is under question. Oh, our pal KD has a blog for them to: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont_lie?author=Kelly+Dwyer
Yao's foot injury, the McGrady/Adelman "heated discussion" and now this latest story seems to match what Clutch twittered last week. Even Feigen basically said if Yahoo says something happened then it happened.
I think TMac IS THE SOURCE IN THE STORY AT YAHOO. Saying they are trying to trade TM is like saying water is wet. Everyone knows that, they would trade anyone on the Rox if it meant the team is better. Saying they don't want to play TM is also pretty obvious b/c they are getting $300k per game in insurance. Even TM should know he won't play until he can help the team. He isn't stupid, we gave him all that money. I know he wants to play but we have to be pretty sure before allowing him to play when they are making alot of money with him out. I do believe we would be a better team with Tmac but not good enough to matter maybe by January they will change their minds.
i dunno feign still feels that mcgrady will play for the houston rockets this season. so i would take it with a grain of salt at least till something happens. I think something big is bout to happen i can feel it.
