He's a much bigger part of the offense in general, and is taking 4 more shots per game, so I'm not surprised that we're seeing an increase in those categories. The increased % is promising, I agree, but he's also more than doubled his turnovers in just 6 minutes more per game. Free throw % has also dropped considerably. Basically, he's a mixed bag to me. Not MIP quality...yet.
i would like to see landry get it. he works the hardest (on the court from what i see) and is usually pretty clutch for the most part and he is always undersized when it comes to matchups! soooo...... mip-4-LANDRY
Ariza and Landry have a better chance then Brooks. I like Brooks a lot, but aside from inconsistency, people mainly know Brooks from his performance last year in the playoffs and many predicted before and early in the season to become a bigger part of the offense. Ariza, has the former Lakers hype thing going on and being the team's "number 1" scoring option, people will flock to him as the face of the team. Landry, is just a great story and he has the stats. Compared to Brooks, he was relatively ignored even after a few good showings along with Scola in the playoffs. If he maintains his current level of play, he will suddenly be called "Yao's replacement" and a "Rising Star" or if someone is trying to be mean, "David West".
Landry should be , but that is impossible because he comes off the bench. THey never give MIP to a bench player. Ariza...really?
