All i ever see LMA do is shoot 15 ft jumpshots..i personally thing we should bring this thread up at the end of the season..because carl keeps looking better and better..and the stats for this season dont lie..
Why stop at lma. Landry is better than duncan and dirk. If he got more minutes he would no doubt be better than those two.
I understand what you are trying to say, however they do need low post scoring as well. Aldridge and he got 20 plus a piece recently, and won. It's not easy having two frontcourt scorers, but getting more balanced scoring will make Roy's job easier. It is a fine balance to be sure.
Wow so many Aldridge lovers here. He'll never be top 5 pf in this league, he's too soft, no defense, and one trick pony(shooting fade aways). He can easily shut down by a physical, talented defender with good height. He can only be top 5 player if he always matchups with Scola.
Not defending Landry or doubting him, but if that is the only comment you have to make then why even post? A consistent mid range jumper? Really? So he is one off-season away from Aldridge I take it...
We'll see. Like what I had posted in that one Blazers thread in the NBA forum, the Blazers have too many scorers and not enough glue guys.
LA is smooth, at his size, he has a sweet touch but doesn't bang down low. i guess that's why they got oden and joel Pryzbilla (sp) for. Landry, for all of his hustle and as much as i like him, isn't the same player. LA is a better player at this point in their respective careers.
I voted "no" originally but this thread suddenly got interesting this year with Landry's rise and Aldridge's lackluster season to date. I'm not really sure what's going on with Aldridge this year, but he's starting to remind me a lot of Rasheed Wallace in that he possesses ideal size for his position to go along with an advanced skillset with athleticism to boot yet he never came close to touching his ceiling as a player. Aldridge is starting to show some symptoms of that. Point being: Landry is making the most of his abilities/potential while Aldridge is not. So to answer the question, it's becoming increasingly obvious that anybody who voted "no" is likely dead wrong given how Landry right now is either on his level or better. I will say that I would still swap them if I had the chance. Not only is he younger and taller, but his best case scenario (KG-lite minus the defense) is much better than Landry's if both players were to completely pan out.
This poll doesn't make sense because they have 2 completely different playing styles, however, Aldridge is a better player and more athletic

Besides whats the point to comparing Landry to an un-drafted free agent? Maybe we should try and compare Bass to Chuck Hayes...but not Landry.
I don't think Landry is either. He is a hard worker and will be a good defender in time. He can already block shots and his offense is already better than LA's.
