I'm not usually impressed with Camby's play and wouldn't want him on our team but you have to admit he is a great rebounder and surprisingly good passer/reader on offense.

On the defensive end, he is just not that good. He lets guys drive or back down right underneath the basket and tries to get the block (and usually fails).

I'm not so sure if he is *most* overrated defender any more but it has to be close. Give me Hayes any day over him even if he doesn't block shots at all.

Speaking of overrated defenders, Clippers announcers were talking about best defensive duos and when the other mentioned Battier-Ariza the other countered with Kobe and Artest. When there is talk about the most overrated defensive players, Kobe and Artest have to be among frontrunners...

Oh man I can just imagine a segment like this with the clippers loss today

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/coCo5rIX0Ww&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/coCo5rIX0Ww&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

The Rockets even with a 40million dollar bench still managed to beat the Clippers

clippers sucks. before the game started, i doubted that chris kaman would dominate in the paint, and recently, al thorton has a good condition, as a result, the basketball is not a mathermatics formula, one guy with 5 machinegun must be killed by a pistol as well. as a matter of fact, 50% luis, landry and chuck contain cotton camby and rock star kaman very well, after that game, i believe these naive announcers must admire morey from the bottom of their hearts, why these mediocre midget could defeat us?? go to the hell, arrogant announcers.

Lol, well I guess you can't blame them for being biased, but it was still pretty funny, especially the "Hayes can't defend Kaman" part.

Announcer 1: The Rockets have no shot blockers

Announcer 2: How about Dikembe Mutombo?

Announcer 1: Yaaa he's no longer there

    Announcer 2: Oh

They just saying that because we have no big names on our active roster right now. Just because they have big names like Baron Davis and somewhat decent players like Al Thorton, Camby, Kaman, they think they can beat a team with no known stars. But we are the best underdog team in the Nba.

That's why the Clippers got their *** whooped!!!!!!

I only watched the 2nd half but I didnt notice them beign too bad. They were certainly better than Denver's, Portland's or the Laker's. No commentators can be worse than the bozos they have here in Denver.

The most thing those idiots like to say is " Bingo!" after the 3-point shot. That really gets annoying!!

Not really sure how that's factual or relevant, but...

The announcers weren't terrible (as announcers); they just said a few stupid, silly things.

i dunno - the clippers announcers were pretty fair, imo. it actually struck me how generally nice they were being. they went on multiple tangents throughout the game saying some pretty good things about our players. off the top of my head i remember them complimenting on almost everyone on our team (brooks, lowry, budinger, scola, battier, etc..). to be honest, i actually thought they were more fair than Worrell, Bullard, and Drexler usually are.

    now...the lakers announcers are horrible.

I was at the game today (live in LA) and it was pretty awesome...when Brooks and C-Bud are connecting, this team is unstoppable..budinger had a big fan base at the game and there was a big rockets cheering section for some reason...they seemed to out-cheer the clippers fans for most of the game (no real surprise there...a clipper fan is just a Laker fan who can't afford Laker ticket prices but wants to attend games)...Clipper fans were so pessimistic! its hilarious..they kept chanting "fire dunleavy" throughout the game..any rate, great win by the rockets. hope they keep it up

You have ZERO basketball knowledge if you think Camby is overrated... or at least enough to stop the Rockets to make a favorable trade for him. Please go look at his career stats.

Camby is like Ariza in that he has the tools be a stat defender (blocks, steals) but gambles a ton often leading to easy other looks for opposing teams. I remember reading some Nugget fan forums and they were so furious at his playstyle they were praying for him to get moved.

Theres really no point in trading for him, we could let McGrady expire and then just try and sign him in the offseason. I don't remember exactly how much we will be under the cap, but surely its enough to sign a vert like Marcus.
