My question to everyone is, should this really be newsworthy material? It's all over tele, radio, and internet as headline news....speaks volumes for the state of our priorities.....

LOL Did anyone ever believe that Tiger was a this wholesome, moral guy? The guy is a freakin assassin on the golf course and a politically correct robot in the press. He never came across as anything other than an obsessive competitor who knew he would make more $$ by saying the right thing when the cameras were on. More power to him I'm just surprised anyone older than 12 actually believed in the image. Even Jordan came off more genuine than Tiger does and that's saying something. This affair will not hurt the guy at all. I would imagine 90% of his fans are men and men don't give a damn if another dude's a cheater. Even women will forgive him in time but men are not even slightly upset over this.
Nothing kills me more than grown men worrying about athlete's personal lives and whether they are stand up or not. Tiger is one year younger than me and a lot more younger than you, who cares if he is somewhat tarnished, was this guy your hero? he plays golf
He was one of my heros, and still is. I don't care about the affair. He's human. Maybe his wife wasn't putting out, maybe there is more to the story, maybe she cheated on him first, who knows, and who cares. I'm just curious if he'll get the Kobe treatment, I'm guess not because he isn't as hated as Kobe.
it's ok to be disappointed in others when they don't live to commitments they make. i think that's probably pretty healthy to feel that way. i'm hoping we don't lose some sense of shared value in, "let your yes be yes, and your no be no." having said that...he made a mistake and apologized. to me, this is entirely between him and his family at this point. it doesn't effect one iota of how i view him as a golfer.
don't get me wrong, Tiger's professionalism and dedication to his craft are admirable traits as a human being. I'm generally amazed he never had any snafus until this. the most the media tried to bring him down on is not saying enough and not taking stands on different issues. other than the fact that he married a supermodel, i've never been that much into his persoanl life. it is a shame that this happened, but i agree with you it doesn't change my view of him. he's human, lord knows how many women I would be chasing if i had his fame and wealth. the only question i have is why do these guys get married? is it for endorsements, do they truly feel the need to be married, was he really in love? don't know and ultimately don't care.

Tiger is stupid for thinkin that this girl would keep it a secret. She just wanted to brag about it and didn't think how it could hurt his family. Shame on her and shame on Tiger. Just like Kobe's situation was proven to be, as far as I know it was consensual. These high profile athletes don't have to rape women, they throw themselves at them.
Sorry but I agree wth Surfguy on this. You have to have better morals and ethics than what Tiger showed. True he's human and there are plenty of examples of well-known people, even God-fearing people who cheated (just look at David in the Old Testament) but to say that this happened to him because he is rich and famous is such a cop-out. For someone who is so "mentally tough" like Tiger, he definitely caved in on this aspect of his life. My father told me a long time ago that men run into trouble when they let the little head think for the big head. If Tiger was unhappy with his marriage, he should have gotten a divorce. He definitely shouldn't have had children with Elin if he even thought for a second, he didn't want to be with her anymore. Call me old-fashioned, but I don't have a lot of patience for guys who cheat on their spouses, especially if there are children involved.
