It's been said that the Rockets need a backup shooting guard, so here's a suggestion: how about Kyle Hill? He's a 6'4" shooting guard who was acquired from Dallas in the Glen Rice trade last season. He was a proven scorer in college and he is on the Rockets' summer league team this year. So instead of overpaying for a backup (the field is slim this year), I think the Rockets should just give Hill the minimum to backup Mobley. As it is, Mobley plays 40-42 minutes a game, so giving Hill six or eight minutes to just fire away isn't a bad idea. He is shooting well in the Rockets league this year so maybe he'll get a shot.
To this point Kyle Hill has barely gotten much playing time in the SPL. The two guards getting the most "looks" on our SPL roster are Tierre and Tito. Hmm... "T 'n T"? Anyway, don't expect Kyle to make the team. Actually, he won't make the team... my inside sources told me so.
He's got Tito, OT, and Tierre in front of him. Plus he's gotta outplay Dane Fife. The odds arn't looking too good for him.
