The story was probably true, but Scola didn't write that piece.

Tmac's never had an eye injury so unless he was referring to Tmac's lazy eyes, it probably wasn't him. Maybe Amare Stoudemire? Then again, an eye injury is a valid reason for sitting out several weeks. Maybe he wasn't taking a shot at someone in the first place

Either way, funny article. Someone may have helped him write this since its very well written, but then again speaking and writing are two different things, so maybe he wrote it himself...

 

I think it's natural for Shane, Luis and David to hang out. They're all the older statesmen of the team with the most in common. They're going to be having dinner and retiring to bed instead of hitting the clubs like some of the younger guys.

Hmmm... people.. you are really missing the point on writing vs speaking english.

I am also Argentinean and English is my second language as well, we first learnt how to write and then how to speak, naturally we practice a lot more writing than speaking so it's normal to write better than we speak.

If i had to speak with you guys on the same terms we discuss here, it would be almost impossible for me to follow.

Anyways, i think Scola has someone that checks his blogs entry and corrects them so that there are no mistakes.

 

All indications are that the 'mature' guys hang together - Scola/Shane/Yao. They set the tenor of the locker room. It seems to me that McG is the oddest personality fit 'off-court' on the team (and a possible source of chemistry issues on the court?).

 

Do you need glasses. Shane Battier is white and lives & thinks as white but you ae correct he isn't white, whatever that means!

 

Well Battier is black so I'm sure where you going with this.

 

Funny story about Battier being scouted for modeling. I guess he looked pretty good next to Scola and David Andersen. If the Rockets only had Popeye Jones, DJ Mbenga, or some other genuinely goofy looking guys on the team Battier would have been signed already.

 

I'm pretty sure one of his parents is white.

He has a shoe contract from a Chinese company called Peak. They probably asked him to write blog for them on sina. Usually there are people there to translate his blog into Chinese so Chinese fans can read it. Shane did that last year, not sure he is doing it again this year.

 

Sometimes written and reading skill doesn't translate directly to speaking skill especially for foreign language.

For the people that don't see it
McGrady reference as in the Headline about him and RA arguing behind closed doors cause McG wanted to play as did Scola arguing with Keith Jones the night of the eye stabbing.

 

This thread made me chuckle several times.
