It's clear the Rockets aren't going to let t-mac "test" his readiness in games but rather he has to "prove" it on the court. Makes sense. Seems like Rick Adelman is encouraged by T-mac's progress and understating it just a bit to keep expectations lowered. Also it's good news that T_mac hasn't spoken too much and not said anything negative.
I saw that doctor video posted here about last year's injury http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=177775 Unless I am deaf, dude was playing injured! And the Rockets organization last year kept denying he was and everything is fine basically saying it was psychological and basically blaming TMac. Am I wrong here or is everyone just ignoring the facts?
lol at the bold part. i've been to a ton of basketball games, and pregame/shootarounds are usually not taken seriously. but you should post them.
No matter how you side, kind of strange that we are kept in the dark on his progress. Where are the videos of him practicing? This would easily show if he is still limping or not exploding to the whole. Coaches, management & players seem to really dodge the question about his situation. You would think there would be updates & encouraging news from the team as he gets closer to playing. I did notice a happy & smiling T-Mac during the OKC game. Looked like he was cheering his teammates and congratulating them as they came off the court. Maybe his debut is getting closer.
It's hard to understand why anyone would assume the Rockets are the ones being unprofessional considering Tracy's history. Between his surprise surgery announcement last year, to his admitting he slacked off at the end of his stay in Orlando, to saying he was 99% back in the summer and would be ready by training camp, to setting his own target return date when he knew full well that the team wasn't going to let him play til after his MRI at the earliest... There is alot more reason to doubt Tracy than there is to question the Rockets here. I mean Tracy said he was close to fully recovered after sitting out two weeks last January only to announce he was shutting it down for the year on his blog a few weeks later... So Tracy saying he is healthy doesn't carry alot of weight at this point.
Everyone was blaming on Tmac this and that. Where is my petition poll? We want to see Tmac play!!!!!!! RA, screw you !!
the thing is, tracy wanted to play last year. and i'm sure he "felt good" after he took those hiatuses. but every game that he came back, you can see he was still limping. see the warriors game. see the denver game. he still LIMPED (and those were his better games). unless he's still limping like a pimp, then yea, whatever he says doesn't carry a lot of weight.
Looks like we have a few days off after the road trip.....interesting....right be4 the Cleveland game....very interesting
if you really really can't help it, find some highlights videos and get yourself excited. i guarantee i won't laugh.
And right before we take on Diesel Shaq and LeBron, if anything positive happen to the team, the content of my sig won't take place in town, maybe we could slightly escape the Cavs with narrow margin. Can't wait to see how it's gonna pan out. Oh, also, Tracy's been working his tail off recently and I'm pretty damn sure Rick has eyed his effort and better do something to elevate this team to another level.
My point is he said he was close to 90% after taking two weeks off in January, then his performances and limping were more like 40%. He said he was 99% this summer and would be ready by training camp. Apparently he still isn't ready as of today. So is Tracy 90% like he was 2 weeks before shutting it down for the season last year again? Or 99% like he was during this summer? Or is he up to 200% now and the rockets need him at around 350%?

The Rox have stablished a way of doing things and they are respecting it. It's the way of the low risk moves untill a high risk is demanded. In that category you can include letting Artest go. It was risky to give him 5 years, we offered 3, he didn't want them, goodbye. This descitions are towards following the same path, imagine T-Mac is back a few games and he relizes he is not 100% as he thought, and he has to wait say, 2 more weeks. Whatever games he plays, be 1 or 10, the games mises after he plays, won't be covered by the insurance. So it's the low risk way to make things the most conservative way, so that when he comes back, he is back for good, and not for a couple of games. I can give you many examples of players that "came back within games" and ended reinjuried or relizeing the needed more time. Ginobili, Garnet, Arenas, Parker, Duncan, Bynum... All o them "come back" last year, from injuries and were taken out again by their coaches for not being 100% or for reinjurieing themselves. PLUS! if T-Mac is back, and some here blames the Rox for "letting him come back too early" i would be seriously considering killing that user.
Here's the best of what I got. The rest of it is in one minute increments and I can't figure out how to merge 3gpp files. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5hivPGhbtBc&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5hivPGhbtBc&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Thank you very much. You deserve rep for that one. As Bullard and other guys have been reporting, he shot looks real good. I understand it is only a warm up, but it can be a good sign. People forgot, but last year Tracy was actually a very good shooter from long range. And remember his knee was not right and I belive his shoulder wasn't 100% either. So this year, if and when he comes back, he may really help us shooting. Because he can become a good shooter, especially from the 3pt line. It can help us, because Shane, Trevor, CHase are not always shooting it well. But man, I just want to see him back. I am just so curious to see him back after that surgery and work he has done with Tim. I hope he will play soon.
