Yes I agree with you. So why do we want to do that trade?

I really like the idea of Tim Duncan playing for the Rockets. I don't think San Antonio will be willing to let him go but to be optimistic the Rockets could offer a couple of players who take up alot of cap room but also contribute the least. I'm talking about Kelvin Cato and Glen Rice. To sweeten the deal throw in Kenny Thomas who has alot of heart but not enough size to play power forward and a draft pick. The Rockets would have a consistant scorer and presence down low, but either way we have a great future and i can't wait to see the best team in the nba in action.

Throw in anyone except Francis, Ming and Griffin to sweeten the deal...:)

Never trade for the enemy. That would be like the Oilers trading Earl for Dorsett.

sorry to say but the spurs as of late aren't even our 'enemies'. heck, the rival b/t the rockets and them died down after the dream literally raped robinson in the WCF. and it's not like duncan's a jerk. i would like to have duncan but at what cost? a pretty high one. i'm pretty sure if there was a sign and trade, the spurs would demand either eddie or steve in that trade...and THEN they would pick more guys....which isn't a very good idea to trade 3-4 players for duncan.

Hey lui, it doesn't matter how you get there as long as you get there. The lakers are probably glad we didn't keep robert horry one of our own draft picks you think? Oh, and by the way the only thing the fans gotta respect is championships.

    Sir Jackie,

You think anyone says no to renting a decent player for a year while re-building then cashing in on 10M?

Oh, we want to do this trade, because Francis and Cat along with Duncan is ready to take a championship. That group will be together and competitive for a long time. San Antonio, on the other hand, are rebuilding and prefer younger players to give them time to rebuild. While Ming and Griffin develop, they can add a SG with their high pick. They need to wait to build, we need Duncan, we don't have to wait for Ming and Griffin to develop. To be quite honest with you, I highly doubt Griffin or Ming will become as good as Duncan is. With defenses colalpsing on his brilliant post game, Francis and Cat will tear everyone apart. Cat shot GREAT from 3-point range last season. Imagine if he had WIDE open looks. Not to mention Boki. I can almost guarantee there's no beating this in 2 years:

    Cato
    Duncan
    Boki
    Mobley
    Francis

Believe me, having Duncan on your team makes you so so so much better, no matter what your position. You HAVE to double-team him, or he'll put it in the hole every time down the court. Forget the fact that he'll do wonders for our defense.
