how much would you offer Scola in 2010 out of curiosity?

This season we're wasting one of Scola's prime years. When Yao is back next season Scola will have one , three is being generous prime years left. At some point in the next two seasons you'll see Yi surpass Scola in productivity and impact, so why not get him now. He'll also have a cheaper contract than Scola.

The Yao/Tmac era is coming to an end, we need to start getting younger players that we can grow and develop.

Scola/Battier are only valuable to us if we manage to land someone like Lebron or Wade thru free agency this offseason, but the chances of that happening are slim...

I'm not against trading either Luis or Shane but Yi is not needed here at all.

Rep for you,my friend. If we can get a good trade for either one of them we should do it. Yi,however would be a bad fit. Lee on the other hand is an interesting young player with decent upside who plays on both ends of the floor.

I like how you have convinced yourself that the reason Battier hasnt been traded is that no one wants him. Everyone wants him.

No the hell he isn't... Landry is ready for big things and Scola has hit his ceiling.

But I certainly WOULD NOT do this trade.

    Pacers - Murphy Dunleavy Foster

    and Hansborough?

this is NBA not some white dude's beer league.

PS - lee isn't even asian you idiot.

Don't get why everyone here is hating on Yi. Sure he didn't show much last season but he was looking real good the beginning of this season and his upside is huge.

He fits better for a contender, not us.

A young role player who can complement Ariza better is what we need. Yao and Tracy can't take us to a championship and no one will give up a star for them.
Vets are important but there isn't much use in hanging on to him. Getting into the 1st round will be a big achievement, but we need to grow and re-build and add vets later.

Yi is not a championship material and that goes the same for Yao. but they're all excellent marketing materials. :p

Why would you want to do that? Are you a closet Nets fan? That trade makes the Rockets worse.

since the nets are doing bad this doesnt mean for the rox to try and save them we should kick them while they are down offer them dorsey and cook for lee he is the only player i would consider maybe yi why would we trade our captians for two guys who quite frankly are not that good.
