Are you kidding me? They had 20 point lead against Clippers. They even led by 10 with 4 minutes to go in the 4th. And than the Clippers went on 20-0 run. But the thing that amazes me, is that Memphis hasn't HIT THE RIM for 4 straight minutes. All their shots were blocked/airballs or just turnovers. And they gave up like 5 straight fast break layups. IT IS NBA! Come on.
I can't remember seeing a collapse like this. The Clippers closed the game with a 22-0 run. The Grizzlies offense was worse than pathetic. None of them could do anything right. The buzz they got over beating Portland is gone. The cred Tinsley gained at Portland is gone. Spectacular meltdown.
Let me also add that Eric Gordon is incredibly dynamic. I might put the Clippers in my LP Broadband rotation when Blake Griffin comes back. LPBB members, start watching midway in the 4th quarter. I know it's the Clips vs. Grizz but check it out anyway. Like the OP said, I don't believe the Grizzlies even hit the rim the last 5-6 minutes. During the run, they probably had more TOs than FGAs. It isn't that often Clippers' home crowd goes hog wild like that. John Lucas made me laugh too.
That was one horrible 4th qtr... aimless drive by Memphis, turnover, then fastbreak by Clips. Rinse and Repeat. Marc Gasol was only their leading scorer entering the 4th and they couldn't even get the ball to him-- didn't even look to get the ball to him. John Lucas was acting like he was the head coach, not Dunleavy. The Clips broadcast kept showing him, too. Can't recall when an assistant coach got nearly that kind of air time.
nba, where caring happens. the lakers obviously cared and they got to steal pau gasol away. plus, memphis has been a good trading partner of ours.
Let's just say I pray they don't suck too much.. I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to be drafted by the Grizzlies right now and if my boy John Wall ends up there I will be depressed for him. I also wish John not to end up on the Clippers or Nets... or Knicks. I think that's it.
