First off, let me state that I am a Longhorn who could absolutely care less about these two teams...

...yet when I saw the final score of this game, a giant grin came across my face. Congratulations bigtexxx, you have somehow made me happy that Rice sucks.

Too bad that longhorn education didn't teach you that if you could care less, then you actually do care a little bit, which isn't what you really mean to say, is it? ;)

    Go Coogs.

Oh almost forgot. Thats 15 straight home wins at Roberston Stadium. Tied for 3rd longest active streak in NCAA. Boise 24 straight, Utah 18 Straight, Texas 15 straight. Record is 58 by Miami.

eh, Rice lost the game by not being mentally prepared. I don't walk away from that game thinking that UH was all that special, or deserving of a national ranking. By the way, Coogs - you can't fill up Public School Stadium when you're nationally ranked? *snicker*

73-14...and you think they lost by not being mentally prepared? You DO realize they were playing football, right? I guess teams don't get recognition unless they win by 100 in your book, eh? Meh,oh well, I guess the coogs will have to be happy with, oh 99.9999% of the population knowing they dominanted rice and shut them down with that monster UoH defense...

Now, disregarding the thread, I thought this was one of the most boring games of the year for UoH. Rice was blown out in the first quarter and the coogs put it well out of reach by halftime. Probably one of the easiest wins UoH will see for years to come. It probably would've been more exciting if we played a local highschool football team...

Rice lost because they were ultra-pathetic. Hightower could have beaten them. Maybe even Elkins. Rice should end their football program or put more effort into it.

    "Mentally prepared"

I thought Rice was a good academic school.

But don't forget texxx, that UH has scoreboard over Rice.

And not just any scoreboard, a very special scoreboard that touches you at night.
