Rockets up 70-65 with 4 minutes left in the third. Clutch said that the gym nearly emptied at the half. There were a lot of people there from the Lakers/Clippers game eariler. Eddie Griffin with 12 in the first quarter and 17 in the first half. He did well against Suns' rookie Amare Stoudamire. Griffin now has 23 in the third. Clutch said he does look a little stronger (though maybe not 20-pounds stronger) but mainly he looks more energetic. Mo Taylor and Griffin were laughing and high fiving before the game. He said they looked like they were buddies. Stoudamire, at one point, had a ridiculous dunk that had the crowd screaming, but Griffin had his moments with a big block and a few dunks of his own. So far, Oscar Torres has 7 and Tierre Brown with 6 but Jason Collier and Terrance Morris are scoreless. Clutch has taken a whole bunch of photos and he's going to try and interview Taylor after the game. More to come...
We'll see how much of buddies they are when Eddie sends Mo T to the end of the bench. Serioulsy though, its good to see Mo supporting his teammates.
---------------------- Clutch said that the gym nearly emptied at the half ---------------------- People are not interested in our game. Damn it, I would pay 30 to watch this game if I don't have to buy a $500 air ticket first!!
lol!>>>>>>>>>>>>>btw, it might seem late here but it's early there so we will probably get the rest of the stort tomarrow...
[We'll see how much of buddies they are when Eddie sends Mo T to the end of the bench. Serioulsy though, its good to see Mo supporting his teammates.] lmao. I guess eddie put on about 5 to 10 pounds. We will see next season when they give new stats. I made him 6-10 230 in my game. Thats around Rasheeds weight. I think Wallace is really 238 but who cares....Why don't people complane about KG's weight, frickin Baron Davis weights more than him. On MTV he personally said he was 224.
CLUTCH YOU WERE THERE?! DoD, Big E, and me were all sitting in the first row behind the rockets bench! Tell me you saw us! AHHHHHH....its just frustration letting out because we were looking for you and didn't see you. I will recap asap after I get some food, since I just got back from the game.
Anyone remember when Griff somewhat struggled in Summer's last year, especially against Randolph (most thought Griff would be better, some of us worried); not trying to be a wet blanket and am glad he's playing well, but it is a whole different ball game. BTW, I was one of the ones who thought Randolph was better. Guess I was wrong.
I'm glad Griff is doing well, but I don't want everyone to go overboard with his play in this league, if you recall Langi lit up the summer league and I thought he was going to be a nice player and so far that hasn't work out into the regular season, although I realize Griff played much better than Dan during the season and theres really no comparison as far as individual players. Just an observation.
