After McGrady's contract expires in 2010, we'll have cap room...hmm.

Man I never expected so much Yao hate to be bottled up within Clutchfans like this.

Silly me for having lowered expectations I guess.

Well looking at it that way I agree. I still don't think he's dominant though. I like Yao and I often take up for him when people call him soft but it's hard for me to call him dominant.

Tough to be dominant always sitting in a suit and not a uniform on the Rox bench. Dwight has played nearly every game in his 5 years in the league.

LOL DH is just Ben Wallace in his prime years with 11FT per game. How far the Center position has gone down. If the NBA wasn't so busy awarding DH 11FT per game, the man would be back down to his 15-17 pts per game. He is also a turnover machine.

Another year(maybe this year), Andrew Bynum Chris Kaman is going to be considered dominant in this weak league of C's and both of them statistically are on par with DH in terms of # (weaker on rebounding, higher on PPG)

In this day and age, it doesn't take much for a Center to be categorized dominant due to the lack of talent in the position and the guard centric offense.
So maybe Wade will be playing with Andrew or Chris. lol

Of course he is dominant. All dominant centers have rebounds stripped from them by point guards and are no where to be seen in the 4th quarter.

Highlights of players showing flashes of dominance does not make them a dominant player. Yao has a lot of lowlights as well.

Bad mouth what player? Arguing that he's not dominant is bad mouthing? There's nothing wrong with not being a blind homer. Yao is an all star center but dominating IMO he is not.

If only girls talk smack on behind the computer screen, then there probably ain't much guys on the internet.

You don't have to be a smart ass by showing him getting blocked and all that.. I was just trying to make peace and show something positive and I wasn't the first to bring up Yao in this discussion either...

If Yao come back healthy, don't see why Dwade won't want to play here. He will get an awful damn lotta support here in Houston to rival the fame of Kobe & Bron.

Wade will get support wherever he goes and he already "rivals" the fame of Kobe and LeBron. He doesn't need Houston or the Rockets for that.

You cant look at it like that. Why use a double standard. You are either dominant or not...forget "by today's standards". Dominant to me means unstoppable-can put a team on his back. The Dream was Dominant, on BOTH ends of the court. Consistently! Points, rbs, stl, blks... He was the zenith of dominance.

Anyone can block Yao, of course, as long as the officials don't call fouls. I have never seen a player in the NBA who has been so illegally officiated than Yao and he has the gruesome scars to prove it.

i doubt that. the heat rarely sell out their games anymore (they had to cover up almost half of the upper level seats for most of the games with curtains so it wouldn't look so bad) despite having wade in his prime.

he's nowhere near kobe or lebron in terms of hype/media attention... but no one is.
