All 0's tonight except 3 rebounds.

Should this guy even play more then 20 minutes a game?

I'm sorry Battier, but Adelman needs to go with C Bud over you.

Trade Battier for a backup center for Yao next year, please.

On offense, he just seems to run & hide in the corner.

No offense, but when you are trying to place the loss on Shane when 2 of your primary offensive weapons shoot a combined 11-37 (29%), then you need to re-evaluate.

the big difference is Fisher played dirty on Brooks and he was a huge factor in that Laker's win.

what had Battier done on defensive end?

You're right, but he does become an offensive liability at times. No excuse for zero points. Defense isn't enough. Honestly,a rookie like C-Bud looked more confident than him tonight. If Chase improves defensively (not implying he will ever become a lock down defender),then he can cut into Shane's minutes.

Battier makes no sense on this team...he's a pure half-court guy who needs a dominant player somewhere to help create easy shots for him.

That said, next year, it'll be really good to have him and Ariza with Yao.

Battier was brought in as a piece to supplement our superstars.

    Our superstars are gone.

Battier is what he always has been. Unfortunately, we are not the same team anymore as the one that brought him in.

would be easier for the main offensive players to get better looks if they didnt have to play 4on5.
battier does not fit on this team. he needs yao.

then why is he still playing 32+ minutes a game? you think adelman would understand that.

    cbud needs those 32 minutes.

Shane is earning McGrady more minutes with every subpar or neutral performance. The natural progression when McG comes back seems to be for him to commandeer Ariza's current role (creator) and for Trevor to slide into Battier's coffin corner. Shortly thereafter, Shane can (and, imo WILL) be moved out to a contending team (BOS, ATL, ORL, come to mind).

We came back when shane sat down. Just like the laker game. 0 points for a starter and he passed up on all shots. If anything shane stops the growth of C-Bud or even worse C-Bud is going to become him with just shooting three's.
