That could be the case, as he allegedly cheated on his wife and the mistress just leaked the story to the press.

The Espn article says it was up the street.

Tiger's house at Ilseworth is a lot more modest than you woulld think. The driveway curves and is only about 3 cars long; there is a small cul-de-sac directly behind it. The driving range (with his personal tee) is across the street and there are no trees. There are trees up the street.

Just GoogleEarth Ilseworth Golf course, look for the driving range, then look at the far end by the boat storage area and the tennis courts. Tiger's house is the short curing driveway.

The airbags didn't inflate, so he was driving less than 33 mph. So how serious of an accident could it be?

People walk away from accidents at 40+ mph, all the time.
It seems like the media is trying to make a headline out of nothing.

The latest news is, Tiger was apparently distracted by someone talking and taking a photograph while he was backing out.

Tiger is strong on the highway, but still needs work on his short game.

It was the state troopers that initially classified it as "serious".

    This whole thing sounds weird...

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A local police chief in Florida says Tiger Woods' wife used a golf club to smash the back window and helped get the golfer out of the car.

Windermere police chief Daniel Saylor told The Associated Press on Friday that Elin Nordegren told officers she was in the house when she heard the accident and came outside. Saylor says officers found Woods laying in the street with his wife hovering over him.

Police said Woods hit a fire hydrant and part of a tree early Friday. Saylor says Woods was in and out of consciousness when officers arrived.

Saylor said Woods had cuts on his lips and blood in his mouth. He says his officers gave him first aid until fire rescue came about 10 minutes later. Woods was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated and released later in the day.

    Here's what I think happened.....

got into a fight with his wife, she threw him out the house. he was on his cell phone texting somebody, hit the fire hydrant, knocked himself out on the steering wheel, and then the car rolled to a stop hitting a tree.

    I think so.

Charges are pending but no alcohol involved. Probably charges pending against his wife.

Charges pending means pending an investigation. In other words, it just means they haven't determined whether there will be charges or not.

The patrol said alcohol was not involved, although the accident remains under investigation and charges could be filed.

True or not, the Skank story in the national enquirerer would cause some fireworks. And he has a temper like ...uh, me; so I think you will be close to right.

That story has been going around for a few years, that the lot extended from the beachfront to the intercoastal canal so he could dock his mega-yacht. I heard it burnt during construction once.

But he has had the Ilseworth house for years.

There is no bigger jackass in sport than Tiger. Maybe MJ. But he has been a prick even since his days at Stanford. The media likes to portray the best athletes in a very fan friendly manner it always seems even if they are not.
