we're looking at yao ming in 2010. that's the star that's coming to our team.

tracy and the rockets are done with one another (both sides).

I think the Rockets would only have a look at McGrady for a short-term deal. Morey still believes he is a talent that cannot be matched in a trade, so I can see how there might be a small offer.

I don't think Tracy would take it, though. Likely, he wants his payday like everyone else.

No, we should consider signing somebody else not named Tracy McGrady or Chris Bosh in 2010. Like Joe Johnson, Amare Stoudemire, etc.. Anybody not named T-Mac and Bosh is fine with me.

No way Mcgrady resigns with the rockets.

    1. The Rockets don't want him back.

    2. Tmac probably doesn't want to play here anymore.

    3. They both need a fresh start away from each other.

Rockets should turn the page and not look back. I think it's obvious they are sick and tired of the guy. I am too.

Even if the Rox wanted to, which I doubt considering the price tag and mess, after all the junk that has happened in the last 2 years it would be a long shot at best. Rather move on and see what we can get for him via trade or use his money to re-up the core along with a nice player that might be avilable after the big boys slot themselves.

Since he's an unrestricted free agent, it's going to be his call first. And believe me, he will never even fathom allowing the Rockets to lowball him. He needs a fresh start and might even end up a positive contributor to a winning team somewhere else. But for the sake of his own psychological well-being he needs never to play in a Rockets uniform again. That ship has already sailed--he quit on us outright last year after the assaults on his mental status that were the 2005 and 2007 playoff chokes shook him to his core. Game 6 of the 2008 playoffs was the last time we still had a viable T-Mac on this team.

If the Rockets had a chance to decline to offer him a contract they probably would. But T-Mac won't give them that chance.

Yes, the chances of Sir Charles making a comeback for the Rockets, of all teams, are as slim as Charles is fat.

I think it could be a possibility if they maybe asked mcgrady to take a pay cut in order to get bosh here. This is bosh's hometown anyway so i could see him comin here if yao is healthy and tracy stays. Tracy has already said in the past he would take a pay cut for allen iverson, so why not for bosh and a great chance at a title?

    Pretty much sums it up.

I would add though most Houstonians don't want him back either.
