Oh man this is pretty nerve wracking, things could be going very well for us by 3 o'clock. Pitt, Baltimore, and Jax could all lose.

Ravens and Steelers both lose. (LOL at the Steelers) Stupid Bills couldn't finish off the Jags! That could've really helped us out.

    Go Patriots! Go Chargers!

Pretty good day so far for the Texans.

With a win Monday Houston will move past Baltimore and Pittsburgh in the standings. The Jacksonville win over Buffalo isn't devastating. We can take care of them in a couple of weeks.

I still think a Denver win today would be best for the Texans. If San Diego loses and we win Monday then Houston moves past the Chargers. However, if San Diego beats Denver then Denver will remain ahead of Houston for the time being. Either way, it's not a huge deal. We will know more once that game is complete.

    Thank You Kansas City!!!!

I have the Bengals game on and the announcer just said:

"Yeah they don't want to play down to the level of their competition today (Oakland.) They really felt like they did that earlier this year against Houston."

Seriously? We have a winning record and destroyed the Bengals. No respect!

I hope the Texans realize they have a golden opportunity Monday. Some unexpected losses by teams in front of them makes the playoff chase that much closer.

Right now we sit at the 8th spot in the conference. Even with a win on Monday it looks like the Texans will remain in the 8th spot. The good news is they will have the same record as the 5th, 6th and 7th spots. Due to the strange tiebreaker procedures I believe they can't move up if they win. However, only one win can vault them into the top five or six, so it is critical they beat the Titans on Monday.

Let's get to 6-4 and close in on the 5th-7th spots.

Nope, Denver is now 7-4 with some easy wins left on the schedule. I know there are never any guarantees in the NFL but you have to think that the Texans' destiny is NOT in their hands unless they win all 6 of their remaining games.

The Texans aren't getting in. Monday's loss was huge. Too many teams are ahead or tied with them. They can probably only afford to lose one more game to have a chance.

Coming off a bye, I expected them to be better prepared. It's like they weren't expecting VY to take of and run with the ball . Also the offensive play calling was completely gutless. Starting Chris Brown at RB, a guy who has no ability to make a big play just because he doesn't fumble. Having Shaub just fall down on third down instead of trying to get more yards for a closer kick. It just shows how bad this coaching staff is.

I think they have a good shot to be 11-5 or better
I think they and SD will tie up 2 Playoff Spots

CinCin and Indy for 2 more

there're only three teams ahead of them and the texans play one of them. they'd obviously be better off 6-4 but... they have more than a fighter's chance here; i don't get all the "it's over," "long shot" doom and gloom.

do i think they'll get in? probably not. but it's not like these are the 04 or 05 astros. they're a game back!
