I know Muschamp will be all over some his players... embarrassed his reputation tonight.

If the Aggies can develop more consistency next year, they should be pretty good. Jerrod Johnson had the game of his life - he was hitting lots of perfect, virtually indefensible passes. Good to get a test like this to get the team's attention going into the last couple of games.

The receivers too. TAMU has some men playing receiver.

Ags played well. Sometime you just take the victory.

I'm sure the anti-UT guys will be in full force. Just know that the 2005 champion Horns led by VY won @ A&M 40-29. Only by 1 more point.

Sorry Colt, but God's favorite QB is Teebow. Have you seen his girlfriend and his plaque? And it's a fact that if you spend 5 minutes with him, YOU will be a better person for it and forever changed. :)

    Seconded.

If they lost, maybe he is not an awesome god?

True... but I mean some of those Touchdowns weren't just because of the Aggies playing well, relaxing on defense isn't an option for this team if they want to win that National Championship.

I'll eat my crow and rep you for calling the high scoring offense against our D.

That team struggled even more than this one. This whole season is just shaping up as a repeat of that year.

Previous year's champion beats OU to win the title; is ranked #1 all season
Everyone talks about how that team has the "greatest player ever" (Bush, Tebow)
    Game in the Rose Bowl
UT has a Heisman contending QB
Rare matchup of 2 undefeated teams in the national title game
UT struggles on the road with the Aggies
    etc

that's the nicest thing anyone has ever said about me. :D

with games of this proportion, i get carried away with my super-pessimism in game threads. i can't help it.

rest assured Brandon2101, i appreciate this decade or so run we're on as much as anybody, which is why it would be so devastating to throw away a title run to a team like this.

thankfully, all is well and i can now calm down. just a few more parallels to that 2005 title season on top of all the other ones. oklahoma is having a terrible season with a RS freshman qb, and a very good UT looked really bad against a mediocre a&m team at kyle and barely pulled it out. if we can win the big 12 title game 70-3 and knock off tebow after an undeserved heisman, it will just be eerie.

edit: didn't see Major's list just above. ou having a crappy season the same year is my only addition.

This game showed why Texas won't beat Alabama. Their defense has been EXPOSED.

what play are you referring to? i don't remember the clock running at a time that it wouldn't have in years past. except after one of our first down, they spotted the ball somewhat quickly and 33 or 34 seconds ran off instead of the 25 that would have run off in the past.

congrats to the longhorns (students & alums, Tshirt fans & "technically longhorns", screw you!), they played a hell of a game.

yo McCoy, thank god, but don't forget to thank our $h!tty luck, our inexperienced amateurish Freshmen, Bullock channeling Kris Brown of the Houston Texans, and a "leaning forward" penalty that cost us 15, and Michael simply losing the ball without anyone touching him.

I'm proud as hell of my aggies, played a great game, played like men. But made some stupid stupid mistakes. Christine's fumble was just sad, Jerrod's int in the red zone was just sad, all those mental mistakes were uncalled for, but expected from such a young team.

I'm disappointed by the weak showing of our crowd. Too busy sucking face to scream their heads off and force some false starts. Seriously, what's so hard about yelling?

    overall, heartbreaking loss. :(

MAJOR props to the Ag's. I'm one of the rare Texas alum's who has major respect for your school and team, and you really came to play tonight. Johnson reminded me of Vince Young tonight and skeert the chit out of me. Amazing game.

Oh, and the class your team and coach showed when our guy was down was pure Texas, as in the state and the people who reside here. That was very classy seeing you guys praying for our hurt player. Gig 'em! Seriously, awesome show of class!

what has mcelroy shown to indicate that he can throw the ridiculous passes johnson was throwing tonight. while we played like crap, johnson was throwing strikes where no defender could get to them, throwing under pressure, on the run, throwing deep, all perfectly on target time after time. that final scoring drive he had a 3rd and 15, a rollout to a guy on the sideline, and a TD pass that were so good he couldn't have walked up and put it in the receiver's hands any better. and the receivers i don't think dropped a single pass all night and made some extremely good catches to bootm.

and mcelroy damn sure isn't running like jerrod. i would rather face alabama than florida (assuming we beat NEB) just so we don't have to deal with a mobile qb.

The 2005 team was a beast. They pretty much blew everyone out. Maybe you are thinking of the 2004 team?
