How are there people who would NOT?

I hope it's based purely on contract?

no... i guess it'a all based upon ab's extremely high potential. :p some said they wouldn't want trade ab for tony parker and ab was already better than d. rose.

I, too, would like to hear why Cstyle42, jevjnd, kaocsaephan, Marsarinian, and napalm_black would not trade Brooks for Ellis

Brooks being so small limits how much potential he has...Monte on the other hand can drive the lane as we saw against the Mavs

Monta has an awful basketball IQ. He is one of the most selfish players I have ever watched.

Brooks for Ellis? ummmmmm YEA! I would do a Brooks, Cook, and Barrys' expiring contract for Ellis. Brooks is a scoring point anyways, besides i like lowrys hutle and aggresiveness better than brooks. Lowry passes more and is a true point. In Ellis we will be getting the same player only with better skills. Trade for Ellis and pick up Will conroy to back up lowry... starting five will be G-Ellis G- lowry F-Ariza F- Scola C- chuck untill Yao comes back... thats a scoring bunch, also pick a superstar up like a good foward and waaaaaallllaaaaa u got a championship team.

Sure Monta has talent but if you thought Tracy was a me-first player, than you haven't been paying attention too much on the Warriors situation for the past two seasons.

    He's also been injured.

I'd rather have young PG who has the potential to become something big in this league.

Ellis is better than Brooks will ever be, No offense to Brooks. But I don't think of him as highly as others do. Ellis is a stud.....

Not for 10m, he's good but I don't see him getting any better, and he's still an undersized 2 guard.

This is a "no-brainer". The only people that wouldn't do this trade have no brains.
