Well in a week that has seen the following:

    1) Couple arrested for not paying a tip
    2) Man that kills own son for raping his 3 year old daughter (the son's half-sister)
    3) A man that was mistaken to be in a coma for 23 years when he really wasn't
    4) A man just finds out that his biological father is Charles Manson

So, why should anyone be surprised about this news (hopefully, it hasn't been posted, if so, lock her up):

    Man marries a videogame
    by Ben Silverman

    Buzz up!

    November 23 3:24 P.M.

I now pronounce you husband and what?!

In another sign that the world is about to collapse, multiple blogs are reporting that a fan of the Nintendo DS dating sim Love Plus (you know, the really creepy one) liked his virtual lady so much that he decided to marry her. For real.

Apparently, a Japanese gamer known as 'Sal9000' was officially wed to Nene Anegasaki, one of the game's three virtual girlfriends, in what must have been the weirdest ceremony in the history of ceremonies. We can only assume that Ms. Pac-Man was the maid of honor.

While the two aren't planning a honeymoon -- after all, one of them is a VIDEO GAME -- they did hold a small 'reception' in Japan for friends, family and the media, indicating that this is most likely little more than the looniest video game publicity stunt we've seen in some time. Check out this video recap by Boing Boing, complete with footage of the happy, er, couple:

    I just hope they signed a pre-nup...

Here's the url which includes a youtube video summary of this event, lol.

How could you leave AMA broadcast?

J-Lo looked like a goober on stage, while Adam Lambert's performance was ahhh random.

Well I mentioned news that was surprising to me; that is why there was no mention of the trainwreck that is better known as the AMAs.

I guess you got a point on that one...but to say it was a trainwreck is a monumental understatement.

And the Adam Lambert thing was surreal...

I've felt the same way towards chun li, but I don't know if it would work out. Obviously we would both be rockets fans, but where would we live? China or here..

Calling the media there for a wedding? I'm guessing this is a publicity stunt by the makers of the game. Either that, or the guy is REALLY creepy.

Your post certainly brought back memories. SF2 was my favorite game right when I hit puberty. Definitely had a huge crush on her back then. :)

    Lolz

In defense of Manny, this newly-married man hails from the same country that is also doing this:
