is this show online anywhere? i dont have HBO, so havent been able to watch it. am i going to have to start from the beginning?
Its really taken it up a notch this year. And its not just the seinfeld thing (although it has helped). Its pushing things so obscure and so absurd to the limits... and weaving them into what is essentially just a modernized version of what made Seinfeld so great. Such as.... "She has a rash on her pu&&y."
Kramer's reaction to FaraLeon was hilarious. I think they could expand on it more. I remember an episode last season I think where Larry says that word and Leon and the family flipped out. I want to see Leon eventually seeing that infamous clip and go after Kramer, Leon style. I thought it was corny when Kramer said that "I wish I could call you something that would make you as mad as me" line.
Finally watched the episode today. I agree with Faos that this season has raised the show to a new level for me. This is a comedy that simply has many "laugh out loud" moments in every episode. This last episode was one of the best. 10/10 Leon, "Bar Mitsfit"
Jerry's reaction to Larry asking about the girl's p***y and Larry's running away when Kramer approached Mrs. Duberstein were priceless.
this season has been nothing short of amazing. the finale ought to deliver... let's just hope LD leaves the window open for another season as he always does <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/mofkVvRHT2k&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/mofkVvRHT2k&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>
no, nothing like Sunny. There is no show like this on TV Great ending. I would be fine if this is where LD wanted to end it all, both Seinfeld and Curb
Sad to see the season end. Anyone ever bought the dvds? Do they contain the outtakes? That would be priceless.
I've got the first three seasons on DVD, Faos, and the best extra feature is the original Pilot episode as it aired in 1999 that started the whole thing... that one revolved around Larry wanting to go back into stand-up and having HBO follow him around as he prepares for an enormous show by doing some small acts in local clubs in LA and NYC... it begins the self-referential/sometimes skewing the lines of reality/documentary as it introduces Jeff, Cheryl, some HBO execs that appear in Season 2, and it is interspersed with real interview material with the Seinfeld cast, about the type of person Larry is to work with. it's a must see for CYE fans. the pilot episode is referred to in one of my all-time favorite episodes in season 2, 'The Shrimp Incident'
Great season ender! Curb will never be Seinfeld, but that's a good thing, and Seinfeld finally has a ending that's worthy.
Don't know if it's already been posted in this thread, but... Curb Your Enthusiasm Seasons 1-6, $80 (w/ free shipping)
